Today we’d like to introduce you to Madhavi Chalasani.
Hi Madhavi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in India and came to the United States when I was just four years old. My father was a physician, and from the very beginning, the language of science, biology, and the awe-inspiring intelligence of the human body was woven into my life.
Growing up, I often felt as though I was balancing between two worlds. One foot firmly rooted in the richness of Indian culture, the other stepping into the ever-evolving rhythm of American life. My parents taught me to take the best of both and make them my own. And for the most part, I did.
From a young age, I believed I was simply “feeling” my own emotions, the moods of those around me, the subtle currents in a room. But later, I understood it was something deeper. I wasn’t just sensitive, as people often said. I was perceptive. It was as if I had been tuned into a secret frequency of life.
School was… school. I checked the boxes, got the grades, and followed the path I never had doubts about. But the real magic happened when, in may spare time, I could immerse myself in the books that called to me. First came horoscopes because who doesn’t want to know the hidden ways our birthdate shapes our destiny? Then came dreams, and soon, I was captivated by the vast and mysterious landscapes of deep metaphysics.
In seventh or eighth grade, we were asked to choose any topic for a term paper. Naturally, I chose dreams. But I wanted to go further: I became fascinated by how people with disabilities dream. Does someone born blind see images in their sleep? Does someone born deaf hear sound in theirs? Even then, I was drawn to the unseen, the unanswered, the mysteries hiding in plain sight.
My love for science eventually led me to medical school, where I immersed myself in anatomy, disease, and treatment protocols. Yet, no matter how many lectures I attended or textbooks I studied, a deeper question kept whispering beneath it all:
Why do we get sick in the first place?
I began to notice patterns. Two patients with the same diagnosis, on identical treatment plans, could have completely different outcomes. One progressed well and healed quickly. The other struggled and had complications. Why? What role did emotions, unspoken beliefs, and subconscious patterns play in the process of illness and recovery?
By day, I studied diseases and medicine. By night, I devoured books about the soul, reincarnation, and the unseen layers of existence. Yet, at the time, these two worlds, science and spirituality, felt apart, living in parallel universes with no bridge between them.
Then came the moment that would change everything.
I call it the elevator moment.
I was in a downtown hospital in New Orleans, about to step onto the nephrology floor. The elevator was silent, empty… until it wasn’t. As the doors opened, I heard it, a deep, powerful voice rising from somewhere beyond thought, filling the entire space around me and within me:
“You’re not supposed to be here.”
It wasn’t fearful. It wasn’t commanding. It was a knowing, the kind of truth that bypasses logic and lands directly in your soul. The voice was so real, so loud, that I turned around, fully expecting someone to be there. But of course, there was no one.
In that instant, I understood something liberating and terrifying all at once: the carefully mapped-out path I had chosen for my life wasn’t the one I was meant to walk.
What followed was a season I now call my deconstruction and renovation. I raised my children, yes, but I also dove headfirst into the vast realms of healing, consciousness, and energy. I read voraciously, trained endlessly, and allowed myself to explore the dimensions of existence I had once only dipped my toes in.
Somewhere along the way, I found myself at one of Louise Hay’s “I Can Do It” conferences. There was a woman there, standing, with a line of people wrapped around the very large room waiting to see her. No one could explain exactly what she did; they just whispered, “She’s incredible.”
Naturally, I stood in line. Patiently waiting my turn. Not understanding the profound and dramatic experience that was waiting for me ahead.
There was some strange familiarity with her. Beyond this time. That woman would became my first Energy Medicine teacher and everything shifted.
From there, it wasn’t so much a learning journey as it was a remembering. It felt as though something deep within me had been waiting for a spark, and the moment the door opened, I became a sponge. I absorbed everything I could about the subtle anatomy of the soul in this incarnated body. The most astonishing part? Much of what I was learning, I somehow already knew. It had simply been dormant, waiting patiently to be awakened.
Over time, one truth became undeniable: healing isn’t linear and it isn’t singular. True transformation requires the integration of the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of who we are. They are not separate; they are threads in the same tapestry of our being.
That realization guided me into Energy Medicine, Pranic Psychotherapy, Shamanic Studies, and a deeper metaphysical understanding of disease. And from this journey, Chakra Bliss Center was born, a sanctuary where I weave together my background in science, my fascination with the mysteries of the soul, and the timeless wisdom of ancient teachings.
My work exists at the intersection where biology meets energy, where intellect dances with intuition, and where the science of the body meets the spirit of who we truly are.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like many, one of my earliest challenges was learning to trust my own inner knowing. From a young age, I would receive intuitive nudges, a sense about people, situations, or decisions, yet I rarely had a “logical” explanation for them.
How do you explain why you don’t get a good feeling about someone you’ve just met? Or why, in the middle of an ordinary moment, a quiet, subtle guidance rises up from somewhere deep within? Learning to honor that inner wisdom, especially in a world that often prioritizes logic over intuition, became one of my earliest lessons, though it would take years for me to fully embody it.
Then, in my twenties, life presented me with my first significant physical challenge, one that would shape not only my personal journey but also the way I approach my work today. At just 21 years old, I was diagnosed with extremely large and numerous uterine fibroids, something that runs strongly through my family line.
What followed was a decade-long journey of procedures, surgeries, and constant care as I worked to maintain the health of my uterus. But it wasn’t just the physical experience that transformed me, it was the deeper questions it awakened:
Why do certain health patterns seem to repeat across families, almost like energetic inheritances?
What untold stories live within our cells, shaping the way our bodies respond to life?
What deeper messages was my body expressing through this disharmony and imbalance?
This period of my life became a catalyst, a doorway into understanding the profound connection between the body, mind, and spirit. It revealed to me that we are not simply dealing with physical symptoms, but often carrying generational stories, emotional imprints, and ancestral patterns that live within us, silently influencing our health and well-being.
It is this understanding, that healing requires us to look beneath the surface, that continues to guide my work today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work is a weaving of worlds. The medical, the energetic, the spiritual, and the ancestral. It is the meeting place where science and soul embrace, where the seen and unseen coexist, and where one’s well being unfolds across dimensions.
Over the years, I’ve trained extensively in Energy Medicine, Chakra Psychology, Shamanic Studies, and Pranic Healing. I am also an ordained Yogacharini of Kriya Yoga, carrying forward the same sacred lineage from which Paramahansa Yogananda, the beloved author of Autobiography of a Yogi, emerged. This is a system of self-realization that Yogananda brought to the West in the early 1900s, a pathway to inner awakening and self realization.
The Work Within Sessions:
My private sessions are highly intuitive and uniquely tailored to each client. I usually know very little before we begin, often just a name, and sometimes an age if I’m working with children or young adults.
The moment I’m given permission, I attune myself to the client’s energetic blueprint, the silent story their soul and energy field are sharing with me, and we begin there. Together, we open a space where the conscious and unconscious meet. Clients may come in with concerns, questions, or themes they wish to explore, but what unfolds next is never scripted.
As the energy begins to flow, I am often guided to ask a specific question, introduce a particular technique, or follow an unexpected thread. Often times, my awareness is drawn into the spine’s energetic pathways, almost as if following an elevator up and down through subtle dimensions. From there, I may be guided to a chakra, an organ holding unresolved emotion, or even a past-life imprint still shaping the client’s present reality.
This unfolding is never forced. It is a dance, a partnership between the client, myself, and a Divine Intelligence. Each session is as unique as the one sitting before me.
Teaching, Guiding, and Awakening:
One of my greatest joys is teaching consciousness classes and workshops, spaces where we journey together into the mysteries of who and what we are. Whether working with intimate circles or large gatherings, I find endless fascination in exploring our inner worlds, understanding how we came to be, and awakening to the limitless potential of who we are becoming.
These gatherings, whether in person or online, are deeply fulfilling. They allow us to step outside the noise of daily life and enter a sacred stillness where transformation becomes possible.
Honoring Healers and Providers:
I am especially passionate about supporting healthcare providers and healing practitioners as they navigate their own wellness journeys. I often work with individuals who are doctors, therapists, energy healers, or guides themselves, and these sessions become deeply enriched through our shared understanding of the healing process. Holding space for those who so often hold space for others feels like a large part of my soul’s calling.
A Sacred Calling:
I view this work as nothing less than sacred. It is not just my profession, it is the voice of my soul, guiding me to be of service. I am deeply honored to assist individuals in their transformative journeys of self-discovery, helping them release the old stories and step into the truth of who they really are.
My mission is simple:
To create a safe, nurturing, and sacred space where you can explore the depths of your being, reconnect with your essence, and embrace the evolution of your most authentic self.
This work is not about fixing anyone because you are not broken. It is about remembering. It is about coming home to the wholeness you already are, beneath the layers of conditioning and fear. And in that remembering, we find freedom and being our authentic self.

Honoring the Teachers Who Shaped My Path:
I sat in stillness one day, reflecting on all the people who have touched my life with their wisdom, love, and presence. I felt called to write down every teacher, guide, and mentor who has shaped me, whether through their words, actions, or the trainings I received from them.
When I finished, there were eighty-seven names on the page. Eighty-seven incredible people who have influenced, challenged, uplifted, and illuminated my journey.
Some teachers were with me only for a few months, planting seeds I would watch bloom years later. Others have walked beside me for seasons, holding space as I evolved and transformed. And then there are those who may never know the depth of their impact, yet each one offered something essential: a spark, a mirror, a lesson, a challenge, a blessing.
I’d like to honor my very first teachers in this incarnation, my parents. To me, they embody the essence of the divine masculine and divine feminine. My father brought a brilliant, intellectual, and highly logical mind, while my mother’s deep devotion and nurturing presence offered balance and heart. Together, they taught me, often without words, how to move through this world with awareness, compassion, and resilience. Their example has been my guiding compass, and the ripples of their influence continue far beyond me.
I’m deeply grateful to my first Energy Medicine teacher, Deborah King, who saw something within me long before I recognized it myself. She opened a doorway into a part of me that had been patiently waiting to awaken. It was an honor and a privilege to become one of her first teaching assistants, standing beside her as I learned to hold space for others in their healing experiences.
To Master Stephen Co of Pranic Healing, my gratitude runs deep. He was the first to teach me how to feel the energy of a chakra, not as a concept, but as a living, breathing, tangible consciousness within the body. Also introducing me into panic psychotherapy, combining traditional psychotherapy with insights into mind-body-energy connections
I also honor my Kriya Yoga teacher, Forrest Knutson, whose wisdom has been pivotal in my journey of expansion and self-realization. His teachings have illuminated many steps along my inward path, helping me explore the intricate psycho-neuro-physiology of spiritual experiences and guiding me into deeper states of awareness and stillness.
And today, I find myself diving even further into the mysteries of the subconscious mind through Clinical Hypnotherapy, guided by Dr. Yuvraj Kapadia. His teachings invite me to explore the hidden narratives and patterns we carry, not only within ourselves but also within the ancestral lines we are born into. Through his work, I am learning new tools to support others on their own journeys of healing, release, and transformation.
I feel incredibly blessed to have learned from teachers with beautifully diverse backgrounds, former physicians, lawyers, engineers, and even a stockbroker. Each came with sharp, logical minds, blending that brilliance with a grounded yet expansive metaphysical wisdom. To me, this merging, where science meets spirit, where intellect meets intuition, and logic meets the mystery is where true transformation lives.
Every one of these teachers has been a thread in the tapestry of my journey. Their wisdom continues to ripple through my work, my teachings, and the way I move thru this world.. I carry their gifts with deep reverence, and in turn, I pass them forward.
