Rising Stars: Meet Magaly Benitez of Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Magaly Benitez.

Hi Magaly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started this beautiful journey in 2020.

Thanks to all of my returning customers and recommendations we have been getting booked for future months.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
2025 was one of the hardest year of all.

My husband had an accident while working for a company named “Lomas Construction Co” on December 30th 2024. My husband was a “framer” he used to build houses. That tragic day he fell from a ladder while carrying plywood on his shoulders from 12 feet high. This fall made his right leg brake needing a surgery he did not get until mid January because of an infection in his blood that happened due to the swelling. Not only was it the saddest New Years but also, my mother in law passed away in January 19th 2025.

All January, I had to be that right leg my husband needed and took care of him in the hospital until visitor hours ended. I would ride back home every night from Downtown Houston to Katy Tx to tuck my kids in bed and start working at night on orders. My family was always very supportive, I just knew my kids were in good hands during the day.

God never left me alone. He made sure I had lots of work when I came back home .

Road was not easy when my husband was back home on February because he needed therapy and he could not walk yet until the surgery was recovered. At a point I needed some extra hands. That’s when my husband decided he would perform some of my duties while sitting in his wheelchair such like, prepping boxes for cakes and treats / making cake boards / making fillings for cakes / elevating the bread layers / making the cookie dough and more, just so that I could get some sleep and he could forget the pain he had for his lost and his leg.

It was not until April, that my husband could put support on that right leg and started his walking therapy. At the moment, he is now walking. With Gods help, we hope he will be able one day to recover completely.

For now we both are a team and hope our buissness grows. We are very grateful with all the people who also believed in us and gave us support by buying or reposting our videos on our social media.

I do confirm this , every customer sent our way from December 2024 until now was sent by God. He made sure food was always on our table .

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

This 2026 I proposed my self I would make more content than usual. I used to make 1 video a day, currently I do my best to make 2-4 videos a day. As each video takes 1 hour for me to create.

I think that what sets me apart from others is that, I don’t back away when it gets hard. I know God will guide me through so I am confident.

“We are moving slow but in the right direction”.

Thank you all.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
