Rising Stars: Meet Mark Flores of Houston, TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Flores

Hi Mark, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In a small home in Conroe, TX, something extraordinary began. During intimate family prayer times with Pastors Mark and Sharayah, Let Heaven Come was born. Friends and family soon joined, and the gatherings quickly outgrew their home, spreading to various locations as more hearts hungered for God.

Miracles unfolded during these prayer meetings. The lost were saved, lives were healed, and deliverance took place. It was an organic movement of God’s power, spreading by word of mouth.

After a year of witnessing incredible transformations, Pastors Mark and Sharayah felt a call to take the movement on the road. They began hosting monthly Fire Nights across southeast Texas, collaborating with different churches and ministries to reignite the flames of revival. Blind eyes were opened, people left their wheelchairs, and countless other signs and wonders occurred. It was nothing short of the church ablaze with Holy Spirit fire, demonstrating the radical, transformative power of God.

In September 2024, Let Heaven Come hosted the powerful Houston Prayer March, a pivotal event that united believers from across the city. The march, titled “Houston, We Have a Promise,” saw over a thousand people gathered to declare God’s promises over the region. The atmosphere was electric with faith, as people from diverse backgrounds and churches marched in unity, praying and worshiping together. The event marked a significant moment in the movement, as Houston came together as one body, igniting hope and revival across the city. The impact of that day continues to ripple through the hearts of those who attended, leaving a lasting imprint of God’s power and purpose for Houston.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the greatest challenges we’ve faced in Houston is the difficulty of uniting the body of Christ across the city. Often, pastors and leaders are so focused on building their own ministries or accomplishing their specific goals that it can limit collaboration for the greater good of the city. We’re missing out on opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus beyond the four walls of individual churches. It’s hard to bring everyone together with a shared vision for revival when many are prioritizing their own agendas. However, we’ve been committed to fostering those partnerships, knowing that true transformation in Houston will come when we work as one body, not isolated parts.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a family man, entrepreneur, and revivalist. I lead Let Heaven Come, a movement that began with small family prayer meetings in our home and has now expanded to city-wide events like the Houston Prayer March. Our goal is to create spaces where people can encounter God in life-changing ways.

Outside of ministry, I’m an entrepreneur with ventures like Mayhem Gym, where we focus on helping people transform physically, and MrMayhem Mobile Detailing. What sets me apart is my drive for real transformation, whether it’s through spiritual revival or business. I’m proud of the lives we’ve impacted—people finding healing, purpose, and new beginnings. Balancing ministry, business, and family has its challenges, but it’s all part of my calling, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
If you want a mentor, don’t sit around waiting for one to find you. Be relentless in seeking out someone who’s already thriving where you want to grow, whether that’s in business, ministry, or life. Mentors aren’t going to chase you down, so you’ve got to pursue them with purpose and humility. When you approach them, come with value. Show that you’re serious, coachable, and willing to work hard. The Bible says, ‘Iron sharpens iron,’ so look for someone who will challenge you, push you, and help you grow in all areas.

For networking, the same principle applies: go where the people who are doing great things are. Surround yourself with those who reflect the kind of faith and drive you aspire to. In ministry and business, it’s not about collecting a bunch of contacts, it’s about building real relationships with people who help you grow spiritually and professionally. And remember, just like Jesus said, ‘It’s more blessed to give than to receive.’ So, bring value to your network by being someone who lifts others up and leads with purpose.
