Today we’d like to introduce you to Multi Face.
Hi Multi Face, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Of course! I’m a DJ and music producer based in Houston, Texas. My journey started during my freshman year of high school after seeing Deadmau5 perform live. That experience completely changed my perspective on music and sparked what began as a hobby, eventually growing into my dream career.
In the early days, I built my experience by DJing friends’ house parties and producing music for local Houston artists while also developing my own original sound. Those opportunities allowed me to grow both as a performer and as a producer, giving me the chance to understand music from multiple creative perspectives.
Today, I produce music across a wide range of genres, including hip-hop, Latin, pop, electronic, and dance music. I enjoy pushing creative boundaries because every artist has a unique story to tell, and I believe the production should reflect that. My approach isn’t limited by genre it’s driven by the artist’s vision and the emotion we want listeners to feel.
As a DJ, I’m known as an open-format performer, which means I have the ability to seamlessly move between genres and adapt to any audience or environment. While my foundation and personal passion will always be dance music and EDM, I love incorporating influences from hip-hop, Latin, pop, and other genres to create dynamic, high-energy sets. Being versatile allows me to connect with a wider audience while still staying true to the electronic music that first inspired me to pursue this career.
Whether I’m producing a record in the studio or performing behind the decks, my goal is always the same: to bring people together through music and create unforgettable experiences that people remember long after the night is over.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the beginning, absolutely not. Like any creative journey, there were moments of doubt, frustration, and a lot of trial and error. But over time, I realized that growth doesn’t happen overnight it comes from consistency, patience, and a willingness to keep showing up, even when progress feels slow. Little by little, you become the person you once looked up to.
Whether it’s DJing or music production, the biggest challenge is learning the fundamentals. Once you understand the core principles, the real growth begins when you start applying them in real world situations. As a DJ, that’s learning how to read a crowd and adapt in the moment. As a producer, it’s taking the technical skills you’ve learned and turning them into music that connects with people emotionally.
Looking back, I don’t think confidence came before the work it came because of the work. Every performance, every song, every mistake, and every lesson helped build the confidence I have today. That’s why I always tell aspiring artists to trust the process. Stay curious, be patient with yourself, and keep creating. The results will come long before you realize just how far you’ve grown.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a DJ, music producer, and creative entrepreneur based in Houston, Texas. My work revolves around creating experiences that connect people through music whether that’s behind the decks at a packed venue, in the studio producing records, or building platforms that help other artists grow.
As a DJ, I specialize in open-format performance while staying deeply rooted in dance music and EDM. I love the challenge of reading a room and creating a set that feels unique to that audience. My goal is never just to play songs it’s to take people on a journey. Whether I’m mixing house music, hip-hop, Latin, pop, or throwback records, I focus on creating energy, building emotion, and making every performance unforgettable.
As a producer, I enjoy working across multiple genres, including electronic, hip-hop, Latin, and pop. I don’t believe great music has boundaries. Every artist has a different vision, and I love helping bring that vision to life by creating music that feels authentic to who they are. Beyond producing my own records, I also collaborate with artists to help them discover and develop a sound that can evolve with them throughout their careers.
One project I’m especially proud of is Surface Radio, a platform I created to spotlight local talent and strengthen Houston’s creative community. It was born from my own experience of learning everything from scratch and wishing there were more opportunities for emerging DJs and producers to connect, collaborate, and showcase their work. My goal is for Surface Radio to become a place where the next generation of creatives can find the opportunities and community I was searching for when I first started.
What sets me apart is that I don’t see myself as just a DJ or just a producer I see myself as a builder. I’m constantly looking for ways to create value, solve problems, and leave the music community better than I found it. Whether I’m helping an artist shape their sound, creating an unforgettable experience for a crowd, or building platforms that bring creatives together, everything I do is centered around long-term impact.
More than anything, I’m proud of the journey itself. I built my career through curiosity, persistence, and a willingness to learn. Starting with YouTube tutorials and house parties, I’ve grown into someone who has had the opportunity to perform alongside internationally recognized artists, produce music across multiple genres, and connect with listeners around the world. That journey reminds me every day that success isn’t just about where you end up it’s about continuing to grow, creating opportunities for others, and never losing the passion that inspired you to start.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always naturally extroverted and incredibly curious. I was fascinated by math and science because I loved understanding how things worked and solving complex problems. That curiosity shaped the way I approach everything I do today.
Looking back, I realize that mindset naturally carried over into music. Whether I’m producing a record, building a DJ set, or developing a new creative project, I enjoy breaking ideas down, experimenting with different approaches, and finding solutions that bring everything together. Creativity and problem-solving have always gone hand in hand for me, and that’s what continues to drive my passion for both music and innovation.
