Rising Stars: Meet Nate Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nate Jackson.

Hi Nate, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Epique Realty LLC has a strong presence and a great name in the Houston, Austin, and Dallas/Fort Worth regions of Texas, but I moved to East Texas in August of this year (1.5 hrs east of Dallas) to be close to family, and sell real estate to make a living. After speaking with, and being recruited by, several real estate brokerages, I chose EPIQUE as my brokerage. Fresh back into real estate in September 2022, after 15 years away (dedicated to Christian Missionary and Pastoral Ministry), I needed a ton of help, re-training, support, and patience from my broker – and all of the above was provided without question or delay. I had to learn and re-learn TREC contracts, Title practices, 2022 targeted marketing, and so much more. Help and support from Epique was a text and/or phone call away.

Having sold a lot of real estate years ago, I knew finding new business in a new region with zero SOI was going to depend on my prospecting – so that is what I set out to do. Between Epique provided leads, and Mojo leads, I called 2-3 hours per day, reaching out to FSBO’s and EXPIRED’s, until I found folks willing to meet and work with me. In the first 60 days, I ended up with 7 clients willing to hire me to sell their home, and I accepted 6 of them. Epique supported my efforts and helped me market each property aggressively and effectively. I effectively started with Epique on September 1, and in 3 months, we have 6 listings with 2 in escrow (with a projected GCI of $85K). The goal I personally set on Sept 1 for the remainder of this 2022 year was $60K GCI, so we are off to a terrific start!

I consider Epique Realty and my first 3 months of real estate in Texas to be a great and exciting experience. I cannot say enough about Epique, my clients, and Texas in general. We are truly blessed and grateful to be a part of every relationship we have. There is no question that the real estate market in the USA is correcting post-pandemic, but for the realtor willing to put in the time and effort to increase their reach and contacts in their market, I believe consistent success can be had.

My business goals and plans for the next 6 months include creating a mean & lean team that will grow and expand our reach and prospecting and client care. There is nothing easy about what we do, but it’s worth it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
* ZERO Sphere of Influence initially (moved into brand new territory) * Savings and investment available to start my real estate business was VERY SMALL & LIMITED.

* Had to learn from scratch how to reach and build new relationships to find and nurture prospective clients.

* Needed a lot of help and guidance from my Broker (Epique Realty LLC)

* As a solo agent, I wear too many hats.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I consider my greatest asset to offer prospective clients is my personal work ethic and integrity. In the “sales” industry, genuine integrity can be hard to find, so being an honest, hard-working realtor seems to be what my clients appreciate the most. My clients will all tell you that I am CLIENT focused and not COMMISSION focused, and they all appreciate it.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
* A Genuine care and commitment to the very best for my clients

* Honesty and relentless loyalty

* Tireless Work Ethic

* Faith
