Rising Stars: Meet Noah Olamigoke

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noah Olamigoke.

Hi Noah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
In terms of photography, I was always interested in it and started modeling in my first shoots with some of my best friends from high school when I was in 10th grade. But I really started taking pictures myself in May of 2020 on my little brother’s birthday when I just randomly decided to take pictures for his birthday party. I was just roaming around, vlogging the party for my YouTube channel, and taking random pictures of him and his friends celebrating and saw that some of the shots I took were actually decent for my first shoot at an “event” so to speak. After that, I just kept taking pictures of my friends wherever we went, which then evolved into me modeling in my own pictures (putting my camera on a tripod and taking my own pics) for my own Instagram account and shooting for various clients for their family events, style shoots, etc. From my brother’s birthday party in 2020 all the way till now and going forward I’ve been taking pictures of myself, a lot of my friends, and for my 2 brothers Olu and Paul and I’d like to say my photographic eye if you will has leveled up tremendously and I can’t wait to see how much more I evolve as both a photographer and model.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Most definitely not but I appreciate how rugged this road has been because I believe you have to go through some trials and tribulations if you want to learn, succeed, and appreciate where you came from. For a long time, I would be promoting my work consistently and wouldn’t get any traction or bookings from clients, and it discouraged me for a little. Made me feel like my work wasn’t as good as I thought and that the algorithms weren’t in my favor. But I started getting a couple clients to want my work and I would show up, work my magic with the camera and they would be pleased with the moments I captured for them. Of course, I still have a long way to go, but I’ve made progress and couldn’t be more thankful for the rough parts of my journey. And same goes for my other interests like modeling and content creation (streaming, vlogging, short films, etc.)

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I literally do everything in the creative realm and sometimes that can be seen as a problem because I’m interested in so many things, but it feels good to be a jack of all trades. I’m a photographer, model, streamer, YouTuber, actor, filmmaker, editor, and a wizard all in one. I definitely specialize in the photography, modeling, and content creator side of things and I’m appreciative of my versatility as a creator. I’m most definitely proud of my photography, and my YouTube channel believe it or not. Though I’m not really consistent on my YouTube channel, I’m proud of the videos and streams I have on there and the production quality of both. And just the fact that everything on my channel was made by me, from the editing to the banner design, to the stream overlays, to the thumbnails just makes me proud that I know how to make things come to life and I don’t need anyone’s help to do it. I’m really a wizard widdit. I’d love to be more proud of my modeling passion, but personally, I’d need to be signed to an agency or model for some clothing brands to achieve that, so any brands out there don’t be scared to hit my Instagram dm or my email, I don’t bite 😉

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice for networking is to just be yourself and don’t fake your energy to be honest. Whenever I meet people no matter how powerful they may be or how much they could teach me, I just remain myself and keep the same positive energy I always have and just make conversation. Don’t be weird and fake everything about your personality just to maybe be friends with someone important. I just smile like normal, talk like normal, and throw in my occasional corny jokes to break the ice like normal. And you should too. I’m Noah Olamigoke, and I approve this message.
