Today we’d like to introduce you to Odyssey Jones.
Hi Odyssey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began with a dream to do more than I’ve ever done with my body, sculpting, and photography/marketing business. I felt the path I was going down wasn’t leading me to the millions and the success that I wanted to achieve so I sit down one day and pray for an answer. And God told me to think beyond anything I’d ever thought about before. I open my eyes and looked up and saw a regular person on TV and it occurred to me that average people can have TV shows so then I started looking into how I could start my own TV show then I started looking into how I could release my TV show which led me to build my own TV streaming platform and produce my own reality. TV show and many other shows in production at the moment as a kid, I was always towed; I would never amount to anything so for me, this was very personal. I am the youngest and only female-operated subscription-based TV streaming platform out of East Texas at the age of 25 years old.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a very difficult road. I didn’t have the support of my family. Some members in my family told me that this would be a waste of my time. Some of my colleagues told me this would be something I wouldn’t be able to achieve I had people turn me down when I asked for help, but I stayed up day and night for seven months research and making cause shaking hands to get to where I am today if it hadn’t been for all those denials, I would not have built my own platform and I wouldn’t have had is most creative control over my projects as I have now, so I’m grateful for all the denials that I got that lead me to where I am today.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Originally, I am known as one of the top body sculptures in East Texas, and I have a body sculpting Academy, east Texas, DFW area Cavitation Liposuction and my website and graphic design business, Honey Headquarters. After beginning this new journey, I am most commonly known by the masses as Honey Jones, the owner of Honey Network. My first reality TV show is called Fame East Texas about 12 individuals from East Texas living in one household together, and my second show is called Honey After Dark which is a modern-day spent on 106 and park involved in local artists from the East Texas area and a live audience.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I am originally from Longview, Texas, and I want to make that very clear during this interview because I am new to Tyler. I am not a native of Tyler, and I am not representing Tyler in any way I am 100% a native to Longview, Texas, and I am representing Longview, Texas to the fullest at all times I am from Mali and Melba Street in Longview, Texas a neighborhood known as the ghetto but everyone from that neighborhood has left that neighborhood and has done so well in life, and I’m so proud of everyone that’s from around here where I’m from so I am from Longview, Texas and I love love you one thing about. Love you; we all stick together. There are a few haters in a bunch, but for the most part, everybody in Longview is all one, and that’s my favorite thing about Longview.
