Today, we’d like to introduce you to Padon Suber.
Hi Padon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
As far as music goes. It’s a seed that was imprinted on me at a young age. Following my older brother in his musical journey, I found a desire to want to create music myself. I believe I was at 6 when I began learning to play drums and later playing at churches. Fast forward to high school, where I furthered my musical abilities with other instruments, such as the piano and trumpet.
I would also sing from time to time, but I never took it seriously until post-college; I preferred the instrumentation aspect of performing, but I eventually matured into performing front stage with bands such as Mason Road, Hybrid Soulz, and Kristal Cherelle. At some point I found myself accepting a job as a Music Teacher for a private learning school.
It was there that I began experimenting with music production. I created songs based on the lesson plans for young children to better remember and grasp the lesson. I realized I could create music professionally with the right equipment. So, I began accumulating items I would need to create a home studio. By 2019, I had the essentials for a good start, which came at perfect timing: the Covid pandemic happened.
During that time, I leaned towards working on my songs, and from there, it led to a certain point. I started my own Business and brand, P.Sub Productions. I had a sustainable flow of clients come through my door, and my music has recently (as of 2023) taken off, and it seems to get better from here.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Every road has its potholes and construction areas. Financially, I wasn’t always where I wanted to be. The learning process is ongoing in the music industry on both sides, and it is a struggle to gather the right information and use it effectively.
I continue to struggle with social media at times, which is a major factor when it comes to music exposure. I get my share of publicity, but it’s not as consistent as I would like it. Oh, the seasonal changes with business volumes.
The first time coming to terms with way that seasons very on product and service demands was rough for me, I would tie that in with my financial hardship moments. However, being successful will happen without experiencing failures to get it right, so I appreciate the rough road.
I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an Entrepreneur in music. I am an artist, composer, songwriter, music producer, music director, music event coordinator, sound engineer, musician, and sometimes I Dj as well.
I think my versatility set me apart from most, I enjoy the fact on knowing that I can always find something to do when it comes to music, and be competent in the each position.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Most people are shocked when I tell them that playing music is my profession. I suppose it is rare to be able to sustain a living doing things that you love in most creative areas.
