Today we’d like to introduce you to Pharaoh Da Body.
Hi Pharaoh, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Pharaoh first became who he was during the pandemic, while the whole world stopped is when my name started to grow! I became an Exotic Dancer around October of 2020 and first started out at Colors Strip Club the first LGBT Strip Club in the city. Dancing for me was not easy at first, yes I had the face & body, but I could not dance or pole dance to save the life of me…like seriously.
Thankfully I had an OG help me when I first started named West, she used to dance a V Live Houston and a couple of other clubs as well. I’m so glad she took me under her wing and that’s how my style first popped off, we used to dance together and make money as a boy and girl duo. My floorwork greatly improved and so did my tips but at the same time I needed to make more money and learn the pole so I watched everyone in the club that did pole tricks and tried out moves that seem achievable.
When the Club was absolutely dead or it was early I would practice before customers would come in and then my next OG YaYa Snow started helping me and teaching me pole tricks when he wasn’t busy. Yaya started out around the same time I started but wasn’t scared to learn pole or try new tricks which made him one of the top dancers in the club quickly. He would show me beginner moves and help teach me more advanced moves if my body would let me. Once I finally got the hang of the pole, I was hooked and wanted to become a pole dancer.
As time progressed and we reached February 2021, I was making enough money at the club to save up and get my first apartment and after I moved in I purchased my first pole to practice at home. Pole became my life and specifically exotic pole, I started posting my journey with pole on social and I started getting noticed but celebrities, influencer, and got into the pole community. My pole idols were Yung Polemaster & Tori The Body (where my name originated from) .
Tori the body is a Legendary Exotic Dancer from Chicago known for her jaw dropping stage sets that literally will make you gag! Yung Polemaster is a male Exotic Dancer, pole instructor & coach…he was one of my idols because that man stays booked and busy and his pole style is so clean!
I could only dream of getting booked up and showcasing my talents around the world, and I guess God & the universe heard my prayers because later 2021 I became a traveling dancer. September of 2021 I moved across country to Charlotte, NC where I worked at Chasers NODA. I Starter working at chasers and started networking immediately, and met some dancers that traveled to Baltimore to work at a club called Lyfe Lounge. I later found out I’ve been following this club since I first started dancing but never went, I immediately told a couple dancers and hit the road for their next event and made $350 which is good since I only had 2 stage sets and was only at the club for 2hrs. My ego and confidence being boosted I later went to Leboy FTL to go dance and although I only made 20$ on my one stage set I did get to leave the city with $500 which was more than what I came with so I was grateful I made anything above $100.
Eventually I moved back to Texas and ended up in Dallas dancing at TMC Dallas, where I could easily make no less then $450 a night. Dancing in Dallas got me recognized a lot more and expanded my brand transforming me from just a stripper into slowly becoming an Influencer. I got my first paid Pride booking in Houston as a Model for BQ AF Festival by The Normal Anomaly. Shortly after I was contacted by The Medusa Network for their first show on the network The Hustle: Dallas where I showcased my talents as an Exotic Pole Dancer & Wigologist. It was my first opportunity to show the world I was more than just a young and dumb stripper but a Young Man with an end goal and actively trying to achieve it. Later I got the opportunity to create my own show TrapHouse SZN, a show that showcases exotic dancers in a different light you normally would see them and and taking an inside dive in the work of stripping! That Project should be dropping this summer and I’m extremely excited!
Fast forward to 2026 and I got casted for my second paid TV show, Aakosha Bentley’s Iconic Playboyz: Houston, where I ended up winning the show and go the Grand prize & Chain! This project has opened so many doors for me and the show just dropped April 26th ! I can only be grateful that I’m getting blessed with these opportunities and I could meet and network with so many different people who genuinely want to see me win, and I don’t think without the support my friends and family give me that I wouldn’t even be bold enough to take these opportunities. I’m just excited to see what’s in store for me next…
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey as an Exotic Dancer & Pole Instructor was not an easy road, my first year of stripping I caught pneumonia to where I lost over 40 pounds because I literally couldn’t eat, and in my line of work appearance is everything ! So late 2021 & early 2022 my tips slowed down drastically to where I quit pole and dancing completely for a good 4-6 months. I also had all my belongings and documents stolen from me so I went into a deep depression and became extremely insecure, all while I was dealing with people who didn’t want me to elevate and stopping my money or making sure I wouldn’t get booked.
A lot of people would most definitely give up after something like this especially from a health scare that made you drop from 165 to 125, I literally looked like a skeleton off of Halloweentown no kidding (laughs).
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Pole Instructor at Exotic Dancer Studio located in North Houston. I specialize in exotic pole, where I often call my class Stripper Boot Camp. I teach routines for all pole levels and also offer Pole Conditioning classes to help build muscle and muscle memory in order to do certain tricks. What makes my classes different from other is that my exotic pole is very energetic even when we work with slower music, I want to make sure everyone’s sex appeal pops and eye catching.
You can also watch me on a couple of networks like Gemini Filmz where I was featured in Bad boys Texas, The Medusa network on The Hustle season 1 & 2 also The Trap House, and on Da Iconic Network on Da Iconic Playboyz Season 2! I’ve also been featured in Voyage Dallas.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I believe that toxic masculinity will eventually fade out to where dancers like me who are both masculine & feminine can shine more! Male pole artist are usually put in a box wher it either you’re masculine or Feminine if you are in between you kind of get overlooked unless you have a huge following, and hopefully the community both pole and the LGBT will be more accepting to Exotic Dancers & Pole Artist like myself. I see it happening soon like possibly within the next few years because of the Rap Game can accept LGBT rappers now, no matter how fem or masculine they are, I feel like our Pole community should accept boys like me!
