Rising Stars: Meet Royce Brooks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Royce Brooks.

Hi Royce, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I got started in the real estate business 9 years ago. My introduction to the industry was during my last semester of undergrad. I worked part-time for a homebuilder assisting their Sales & Closing department for about 90 days during my final semester at Prairie View A&M University. Upon graduation, The Sales & Marketing VP, at the time offered me a position in the marketing department as a Marketing Coordinator. I had no idea that this very position would be the one to catapult my real estate journey. I worked for that homebuilder for about 3.5 years, and instantly learned so much about the new home construction industry. I wanted to learn more and diversify my real estate background and knowledge, so I decided to work for a master planned community developer. I currently work as the Senior Marketing Manager for a developer. I’ve been in this role now for about 4 years. Being on this side of the table has allowed me to see the community development process from dirt to completed homes and community amenities. I’ve always been someone that aspired to do more, to be more, to learn more. For me, it only made sense to get my real estate license having been working in the business for over 6 years at the time. The knowledge I’ve learned on the new home builder side coupled with my community development insight, has allowed me to transition into becoming a Realtor, Royce The Realtor…

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Yes, it’s been a smooth road. My entire professional career has been in the real estate industry. I also purchased a new construction home. Having this experience has allowed me to walk my clients throughout their entire home buying/leasing process. I’m able to connect with them on a friend level while being the professional expert at the same time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m currently a Houston based Realtor who specializes in assisting buyers and sellers with their real estate transactions. I specialize in all things inner loop (inside 610 North and 610 South). I have the “scoop on the loop.” I pride myself on adding value to my clients as we matriculate their home buying process. One of the biggest things that sets me apart from others is my new home construction and community development knowledge and background. I currently sit on the Greater Houston Builder’s Association (GHBA) board as a Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) member. Being a part of the board also provides me with industry insight such as trends affecting/impacting the housing market. With that, I’m able to keep my clients well informed on what’s currently happening in the industry and what’s predicted to happen. I’m most proud of wining GHBA’s distinct Marketing Professional of The Year – Fall 2021 and doing 1 million dollars in real estate transactions that same year!
