Rising Stars: Meet Tracy Anderson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Anderson.

Hi Tracy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, it is such an honor and thanks for featuring me. I am the founder, creator, and owner of Scent·ology, A modern self-care company. I have always had a love for the beauty, health and wellness industry since I was a child. As a licensed cosmetologist, I turned that love into a passion when I started creating custom hair and scalp treatments for my clients. Seeing the positive results and reactions was the most fulfilling for me. I figured, why stop just at hair? This led me to expand my skills and research into the benefits of essential oils and aromatherapy, and after many months of researching, trial and error, and receiving feedback from family and friends, I knew I was on to something… and then Scent·ology was born! I launched my all-natural, handcrafted whipped body butters and exfoliating body scrubs, along with my aromatherapy in February 2023. Since the launch, my products have been well received and are known for their distinctive signature scents as well as their health benefits.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey has been and still is humbling one. Since this is a family-based business, I have experienced the challenges that most face when starting their own company. When you’re passionate about what you do, you invest a lot of time, effort, and money into it, and a lot of times, the stress comes quicker than the reward. I love what I do, and I believe in my products so much that I try not to focus on the financial challenges as much. Of course, making a profit is a priority, but my main goal now is to make sure everyone has a chance to experience affordable luxury products that are essential, beneficial, and smell amazing.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As the “Bawse” of Scent·ology, (as my family calls me) I literally oversee and hand-make every single product I sale including my candles and the vessels they are poured in, right here in the Houston area.  Carefully blending pure and exotic essential oils and phthalate free fragrances to create one-of-a-kind aromatherapy is why Scent·ology is most known for its distinctive scents… hence the name. Our ingredients are all-natural, organic, vegan, and sustainable. We customize and offer a women’s line, men’s line, and children’s line so we cater to everyone’s self-care needs. Keeping true to my integrity of providing a luxury, modern self-care experience like no other, along with the positive feedback that we receive gives me the gratification of knowing that all of this is what sets Scent•ology apart from the rest.
