Rising Stars: Meet Zahir of South Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zahir.

Hi Zahir, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was introduced to real estate at a young age — around 10 years old — helping my mom with her subcontracting work and spending countless hours watching HGTV. That’s really where the spark started. I became fascinated with how spaces are built, transformed, and brought to life.

As I grew older, that early curiosity turned into a genuine passion for real estate and design. I quickly realized that buying or selling a home isn’t just a transaction — it’s a major life decision. That perspective shaped how I built my business: client-first, value-driven, and rooted in honesty and integrity.

Over time, my creative side and flair for design became a defining part of my work. I love helping clients not only find the right home but also see the potential in what it could become. That same creative energy led me to content creation — using my YouTube channel and social platforms to showcase stunning homes, share design inspiration, and bring some fun and education to real estate.

Today, I’m proud to blend real estate, design, and storytelling — helping clients find homes they love, inspiring others through creative content, and continuing to grow as both a Realtor and entrepreneur, always staying authentic and focused on lasting relationships.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was about as smooth as an old brick road. When I first started in real estate, one of the biggest challenges was simply standing out. Houston is full of talented agents, and early on, I realized that success wasn’t just about knowing contracts or showing homes — it was about building trust and creating a personal brand people could relate to. I had to learn how to market myself authentically, stay consistent when no one was watching, and stay confident even when deals fell through.

Another early challenge was balance — juggling the business side with the creative side. As a realtor and content creator, it took time to find a rhythm between helping clients, producing valuable content, and still showing up as my genuine self in both spaces.

Those challenges have evolved, but they haven’t disappeared. Today, the biggest one is managing growth while maintaining the same level of personal connection.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a realtor with a flare for design and content creator based in Houston, and what I really do is help people make confident, well-informed moves — whether that’s buying their first home, selling to level up, or exploring luxury properties across the city. I specialize in pairing market knowledge with a personal touch — because real estate isn’t just about property, it’s about people and the stories behind each decision.

I’ve built my brand on honesty, humor, and integrity. My goal is to make the process feel approachable and transparent, not intimidating. I also create digital content — from luxury home tours to educational videos — that breaks down real estate in a way that’s entertaining but still packed with value.

What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built. I love when my clients come back later — not just to buy or sell again, but to tell me how good the experience felt. that’s what makes it worth it.

What sets me apart is that I genuinely care about relationships more than transactions. I don’t believe in forcing deals or faking professionalism. I believe in being real, staying knowledgeable, and making the process enjoyable. My clients know I’ll fight for them in negotiations and still crack a joke when things get stressful, that’s just who I am.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
First, I want to give credit to the clients who trusted me early on. Every transaction taught me something new about patience, communication, and the value of doing business with integrity. Their trust shaped how I operate today.

A big part of my growth also comes from my business partner, Lisa Barnes. She’s been instrumental in keeping me grounded and focused, especially when things get hectic. Lisa brings a balance of perspective and strategy that keeps the business moving in the right direction. We complement each other’s strengths, and that partnership has been a huge factor in our success.

Beyond that, I’ve had mentors in real estate and marketing who encouraged me to think long-term, to build a brand, not just close deals. And, of course, my family and close friends have been a constant source of support through the late nights and growing pains.

It truly takes a community — mentors who pour into you, clients who believe in you, and teammates like Lisa who keep you aligned with your purpose.
