We recently had the chance to connect with Stephanie Ton and have shared our conversation below.
Stephanie, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I think a lot of people quietly struggle with imposter syndrome. On the outside they look confident, but inside they’re wondering if they’re really good enough. Especially with social media, it’s so easy to compare yourself to someone else’s highlight reel and feel like you’re falling short. I think that’s why the whole idea of ‘fake it till you make it’ resonates with so many people—it’s a reminder that most of us are figuring it out as we go, and that’s completely okay.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Stephanie, the owner of Peachy Events! I plan and design weddings that really reflect the couple—not just for them, but for their guests too. I don’t believe traditions have to be followed just because ‘that’s how it’s always done.’ My favorite weddings are the ones where people walk away saying, ‘That was so them.’ Right now, I’m focused on creating weddings that feel fun, memorable, and full of little personal touches that make the whole day stand out.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Honestly, I feel like I’ve always been myself. I was lucky to grow up with parents who encouraged me to do whatever I wanted and supported me every step of the way. Because of that, I never really felt pressure to be someone I wasn’t. I feel really blessed to have that kind of foundation—it’s a big part of why I’m able to live the life I have today.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self it’s okay to be hopeful and full of optimism—that’s a beautiful trait, not a weakness. Just don’t let anyone take advantage of it. Stay curious, be smart about your choices, and know your own ground. You can dream big and still stay rooted, and that balance will take you far.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say what really matters to me is when people are honest, true to their word, and just themselves. That’s what makes connections feel meaningful—and it’s why I love what I do, creating weddings and events where people can truly connect and be themselves.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as someone who made others feel seen, valued, and cared for. Whether it’s in my personal life or through the weddings and events I create, I want the story to be about meaningful connections, thoughtfulness, and a little bit of joy sprinkled in. I’d love for people to say, ‘Being around Stephanie made you feel like yourself and made life a little brighter.’
