We’re looking forward to introducing you to Milagros Salazar. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Milagros, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, my joy comes from spending time with my babies, those everyday moments that keep me grounded and also staying active with pickleball, yoga, and group cardio that helps me reset and refocus.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Milagros, most people call me Mily. I’m the founder of MS & Associates, a Houston-based business that helps individuals and companies navigate paperwork with confidence, from auto titles and business filings to trucking compliance and USDOT setups. What makes my brand special is the heart behind it; we focus on serving our community with honesty, accessibility, and that white glove touch that turns a stressful process into a smooth one.
Beyond the business, I’m passionate about creating balance between motherhood, entrepreneurship, and wellness. Right now I’m focused on expanding our services, building community through social media, and empowering other women to build their own versions of success with heart, purpose, and boss energy.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world was becoming a mom. It completely changed my perspective on time, purpose, and what truly matters. It taught me patience, resilience, and how powerful love can be when it becomes your “why.” Now everything I do, from business to personal growth, comes from that deeper place of wanting to build something meaningful for my family.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell her to trust herself more. Everything she dreams of is already on its way, even if she can’t see it yet. The hard moments will shape her, not break her. And one day, she’ll look around and realize she became everything she once prayed for.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I’d say yes, the public version of me is real, but it’s the polished version. It’s the part of me that shows up strong, composed, and ready to inspire. But behind that, there’s also softness, doubt, and growth, the mom juggling everything, the woman still learning, and the human figuring things out day by day. Both sides are me, and I’ve learned that they can coexist. That balance is what makes me real.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. How do you know when you’re out of your depth?
I know I’m out of my depth when my peace feels off. I’ve learned to pay attention to my energy. When I start forcing things or feeling anxious instead of aligned, that’s my sign to pause, breathe, and either ask for help or give myself space to reset. Growth doesn’t mean doing it all alone; it means knowing when to slow down and realign.
