Timmorie Scott shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Timmorie, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
For me, it’s all about accomplishing my life goals and shaping the lifestyle I envision for my future — one that reflects growth, balance, and fulfillment.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My artist name is T-Real 4 Real. I’m a creative rap and hip-hop artist who’s into music, fashion, and poetry. I love coming up with new concepts, melodies, and different rhythms — just finding fresh ways to express myself and connect with people through my art. I recently dropped my new album The Mob Father 2, and right now I’m working on multiple new projects — more albums, music videos, and even launching my own clothing brand. It’s all about creating and staying true to my vision.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship with my grandfather really shaped how I see myself, both as a person and as an artist. He taught me about principles, morals, and standing on what you believe in — even when it’s not easy. His kind of tough love built character in me and gave me the discipline and focus I carry into everything I create. A lot of my music comes from that foundation — the lessons, the pain, the wisdom — all of it flows through my art and keeps me grounded in who I am.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me lessons success never could. It showed me how fragile life really is — how what’s given can be taken in the blink of an eye. Pain humbled me, sharpened me, and made me appreciate every moment, every breath, every blessing. Success can celebrate you, but struggle builds you. It taught me to move with gratitude and to never take anything for granted, because tomorrow isn’t promised
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to building my business and my brand into everything I’ve envisioned it to be. For me, it’s personal — it’s about turning my passion into something that can inspire others and stand the test of time. I’ve put my heart into this, and no matter how long it takes, I’m dedicated to seeing it grow and become something that represents who I am and what I stand for
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m doing what I was born to do. Nobody had to tell me — it called me on its own. The love, the joy, the energy I feel when I create… that’s how I know it’s purpose, not pressure. This path chose me as much as I chose it. It’s in my spirit, in my rhythm, and in every word I write
