Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Shell.
Hi Kristina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my career by helping my Mom work in a travel agency she owned. We were planning & hosting getaway events and parties for our clients, which I enjoyed a lot. I always liked being social and communicating with people, which is why I chose to achieve my Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism & Public Relations.
In 2010, I moved to New York to pursue my planning career by securing important positions at major festivals, like HBO Latino Film Festival in New York, Media Forums, Fashion & Music Events. I have also worked in film production, as well as collaborated with celebrities like 50Cent (GUnit) and Fat Joe.
My Wedding Planning path started when a friend of mine had asked me to create her bridal bouquet and help plan her Wedding. It encouraged me to learn more about the industry and take different Florist, Event Design and Event Planning courses. One day I saw a job opening for a Wedding Event coordinator position, which was a great opportunity to sharpen my skills and work with beautiful brides on their extravagant wedding plans, breathtaking event designs & flower arrangements. Up until today, I have planned & hosted nearly 300 successful weddings and events.
I incorporate my Psychology knowledge and Event planning experience when talking to my clients, as I know wedding planning can come with lots of unneeded stress and emotions. I truly believe that Wedding Planning is easier & efficient, not only when your bride has an excellent & experienced support from you, but also personal guidance and a long-term friendship.
The idea of the Bridal Marathon Planning Program came to me when I saw many brides asking for help, but personal coordinating services were out of their budget. Weddings are expensive, but I knew I had to do something to solve the problem. Today, I am very passionate to present the Wedding Planning Program I designed for soon to be brides to bring peace, joy & organization into their wedding planning process.
All of my clients have had their Dream Wedding come true and have nicknamed me “The Wedding Fairy”. If you are a bride, be sure, with my help, your wishes & dreams about your special day will come true as well!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I am my own motivation. If something goes wrong, I find sections where I fail, work on them and move forward.
No road is smooth, you will always face ups and downs. The most important thing, is how you are getting out of it. My uncle always told me – does not matter what you do, matters how you do it.
The main struggles I faced was being far from home by myself and several times starting everything from the beginning. Missing your home in some cases might distract you. Family support plays a big role in the path of your achievements and struggles. I’m lucky to say that I have an opportunity and strength to dream and feel that my family got my back. And of course the last thing, most of the time I idealized people and it was painful. I had to spend some time understanding inner reasons, accepting people’s weaknesses and bringing it to the level when it does not bother me anymore. My advise is never stop learning, only knowledge & practice will bring you to success!

In KS Creative Studio, we specializing in Floristry and Event Decor. We are making fresh and trendy floral bouquets for any occasion. Our goal is to share beautiful memories through love and flowers.
