Daily Inspiration: Meet Charlton Nwachukwu

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlton Nwachukwu.

Hi Charlton, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Charlton Nwachukwu and I’m an Igbo Nigerian and from South Houston, Texas. My whole life I knew I was meant for great things and I believe that anything is possible with just the right mindset and drive. Ever since I was a kid, I was influenced by my environment and television/movies. So that went towards my perspective on the world and helped my creativity. So when I create, it comes from many parts of my life but truly from the soul. As everything I do with my mind and soul, I am surely passionate about.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My life hasn’t been easy tho as when I was born, I was born with a physical deformity limiting my mobility, emotions and even mental. It held me down for many years, keeping me at moments of insecurity and doubt within myself. Then, my freshman year, I had surgery to fix everything. From that point on, my confidence and mentality started to improve then more creativity came along with it.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I see myself as an artist/creative in way because when I create, I get inspiration from the world around me and my soul within. I do work like modeling, acting, writing scripts and music, creative directing, styling and directing/producing films.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe anything is possible, so to not take a risk in your life, you’re holding yourself back from a life worth living. With the risk, you would just wonder in your life what could have been. There are no limits in life, the sky isn’t even the highest reach. Remember that.
