Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebanie Wilson.
Ebanie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started Fluuter Fashion after the pandemic hit the US. After everything went under lockdown, I wanted to have the advantage of working from home and owning something for myself. I’ve always had a passion for style and beauty, so I decided to open a boutique. Fluuter became an outlet for me creatively and financially during lockdown. I wanted to provide an experience for my customers that reflects my own personal style and is authentic to me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There’s been a lot of those, Lol! The biggest challenge for me was balancing being a new mom and trying to start a new business. Dealing with postpartum and the mental strain of being in a pandemic, I found myself in a deep depression and it really affected my ability to show up for my business. I want people who are looking to start a business to know that it’s not easy but there are a lot of resources and tools available that will make it easier to manage your business and make it successful. Stay positive and stay focused!

Fluuter Fashion is your go-to fashion boutique for styles influenced by the latest fashions with an added flair. At Fluuter Fashion, we believe ‘Fashion is a Language’ and our styles speak volumes. We offer a selection of dresses, sets, tops and bottoms, as well as, handbags and stylish shades.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite memories is putting on a show for my mom dressed like Goldie Hawn on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh In. She took my pictures like I was on a runway and I still have the polaroid pictures to this day. I’ve always been a fan of Goldie and she’s still one of my favorite style icons.
