Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianne McClellan.
Brianne, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I first began blogging back in 2010 as a way to document my day to day life. Over the years, as I started getting more and more readers, and as the world of blogging changed, I started to become more intentional with my posts which led to not only even more readers but also to get the opportunity to collaborate with various brands.
With the change of the world of blogging and social media, I began using Instagram initially in hopes of growing my blog further as well as getting to collaborate with more brands. What came out of it instead, however, was something far more exciting. With the growth of my Instagram account, I got to interact with even more people which ultimately led to me starting my own business, Balance & Being by Bri.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road certainly hasn’t been smooth. Like with anything new, there have been some major learning curves along the way. When I first began blogging and even when I first started using Instagram, I would put whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. That might mean multiple posts in one day & then no posts for weeks or months. While I still post about the content that I want to post about it, I have learned to be far more intentional with what I am sharing with those that follow both my blog and my Instagram account.
My best advice is to work hard, be consistent, & be intentional. When you set a goal for yourself, whatever it may be, brainstorm as many were as you possibly can to get there but then choose only a couple to focus on at a time. If you are trying too many different things at once, you aren’t going to see the results that you are hoping for. However, when you put a lot of focus on just one or two things, you can put more of your time & effort into them making it far more likely that you will succeed.

My business helps people get on track, and stay on track, with their health and fitness. I love this business because it allows me to help others reach their full potential and to be happy and healthy individuals. I did not start out as a fitness fanatic. I still don’t know that I’d call myself a fitness fanatic. Because of this, and because of my background as a lifestyle blogger, I feel like I can relate more to the people who are unsure of how to or if they’re even ready to, take their first steps on their health & wellness journey. I share my day to day life with people, which does not always include a workout and/or strictly healthy food. However, I do this in hopes that not only will people be able to relate to me more as a person, but also in hopes that they will see that one bad meal or one bad day, does not mean that you have failed.
Who have you been inspired by?
My mom has definitely inspired me in my life with how I choose to be as a person, especially towards others and when it comes to reaching my goals. She is strong, knows what she deserves, and goes for it. She is also incredibly caring and is making sure that others are taken care of.
