Today we’d like to introduce you to Author Bougie Que.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been a creative writer. I just never shared it before. I was told about a writer’s app, so I took a chance and created a story. I freestyle the story basically playing around just to see if I’ll get any reads. Within days I was at 2.4k reads and from 3 months I was at 15k reads. So, I decided to write and get the playful erotica book “Sex Therapist Series 1: The Imagination Is Real” published in a series. Before taking the steps, the hardest challenge I faced is when the writer’s app deleted my story at 15K reads.
Now, to be honest, I was very discouraged especially when they did not tell me why. I had all my documentation to show proof that I am the writer that created the story. Since I am a person that does not give up I resubmitted the story. I kid you not within one month I reached 50K reads. My supporters were upset as much as I was when the rough draft was taken down. I am very happy with myself that I didn’t give up. Because I received so much support, it was overwhelming. The book was not fully completed within the year and the book reached 450K reads. Shocking that the writer’s app removed my book again. At this point, I just finished the book and got it published on Amazon.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I faced Depression, PTSD, and Anxiety at times, but I would say that I have less symptoms. Because I chose to be my true self, I know I am my best. When I express myself, and I do that through my gifts, writing. Of course, there is a reason behind my depression. I chose to speak about it to set myself free because I was in captivity with my demons for a very long time. I create stories to inspire others that they are not alone.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Author Bougie Que known as Quetta Stubbs is an author of Romance and Erotica that has snippets of her own life events in her stories. She is an artist of the unknown, so it is only right to give her readers The Unknown. Bougie Que’s life passion is to write, being a writer saved her life. She found a way to escape and shared so many related stories that her readers can relate to. Bougie Que has accomplished so much in her life. She is a Wife, Mother of 2, and most of all; she is HERSELF. Peace for her is writing and writing is her peace. Bougie Que feels nothing, but right to express herself through her words to heal and to entertain. The talent she has is undeniable, genuine, and true.
I am proud to announce that I currently have 3 published books that are doing phenomenal.
1st series: Sex Therapist Part I The Imagination Is Real and Part 2 Hotel Carney
2nd series: Part 1 The Unborn Child (That wasn’t wanted) and part II The Aftermath is currently being written.
I decided to create a shop named ABQ Merch to place my inspiring quotes on t-shirts, coffee mugs, and so much more to inspire all people. Being inspired by others has helped me in my journey. I also created a clubhouse on my website, you can choose more than 1 club to join that interests you. There are no restrictions, but I only ask for us all to respect each other. Overall the clubs are for your freedom to speak, and to discuss how you feel as a person. You have rights! The clubs are FREE to join.
How do you think about luck?
I can say that I have great luck because when I took a break from writing to take care of my mental health. My supporters were ready to support me as if I never left. I was afraid of losing out because I needed to take some time for myself. I am looking forward to continuing with the great luck I have.
