Today we’d like to introduce you to Dangelo Fields.
Dangelo, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up, I had the blessing to be saturated in music my whole life all thanks to my Dad. From rock/metal to rap my dad quite a bit while I sat there next to home and aspired to be him, but I never took music seriously. In the 5th grade I discovered GarageBand which is where I first started playing with loop sequencing and making beats.
In 7th grade I decide to give logic a try to see what the big guys where using and with the training of GarageBand it wasn’t as hard as I anticipated. I then continued to do music and decided to take it seriously. All throughout high school I focused on song production and the engineering side of things from vocal compression to tuning the drums to the songs proper key. Towards the end of high school I started writhing and found myself freestyling hooks and versus and building around it.
As a class of 2020, graduate the last two months were cancelled which left me home locking me in my studio allowing me to work on my first Ep “I was raised better”. All the songs were recorded throughout the school year but where incomplete but thanks to carona I was able to complete all seven song and released the Ep. Everything wouldn’t have been possible without my brothers jay siliezar a lnd Dyllyn Greer who mixed and mastered the Ep. we’ve been working as a team for the past two years and definitely have more I store for you guys. As an artist I’ve learned it’s not about good music well let’s just say good music only gets you so far, you have to brand yourself and go about the correct way.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t have problems I have obstacles and lucky some obstacles are movable and only effect you if you pay attention to it.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
