Today we’d like to introduce you to Helena Collins.
Helena, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Well, ideally I never thought I would be the type to be an author as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I always knew I wanted to help people and be able to listen to others problems while giving relevant advice. Konfidence Is Key started in December 2017, I had a major life event that pushed me into my Destiny, and I began to write a book to help others who haven’t dealt with unmet trauma.
The book “Konfidence Is Key,” is a 21 Day devotional that is designed for women and men who have experience setbacks but are looking forward to regaining their confidence in themselves and God. I believe the only real change we all will ever experience starts within the mind, that is why Mental Wellness is most important.
My book was released this past May 2018, it is doing very well, and I am grateful that people recognize the value not only in the book but in themselves. The greatest investment one will ever make is always in themselves, I am excited where I am today and enjoying watching the stigma of Mental Health be broken.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a rather smooth road transitioning into and Author, but I would say I have experienced some obstacles in regards to finding my fit. I knew nothing about publishing, creating content or even web design. This process has forced me to become a Jill of all trades.
I recognized the need for me to be totally sold out for my craft and learn how to do what I pay others to do. I met the right people, at the right time who really helped me along the way to get to where I am now. I learned how to work components of web design, create content for my book, self-publish and maintain all the rights to my book.
While still meeting the needs of my clients and promoting my agenda of making Mental Health popular.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Konfidence Is Key – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
So Konfidence Is Key is a platform to empower women and adolescent girls to become who they are destined to be. Konfidence is Key is not only the title of my book, but it is a non-profit organization that was founded in November 2017. As a founder I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in Anxiety, Depression and Suicidal Ideation, I desire to educate others.
I have a lot of experience working with this population, and the common theme is lack of Self-Esteem and Confidence. That is why Konfidence is Key is essential in helping not only clients of mines, but others recognize the importance of knowing who you are and whose you are. I’ve been able to speak on several platforms about the importance of having confidence.
I am known for always speaking life into anyone I meet, I expect for you to be built up when you leave my presence. I believe as a company we are most proud of the impact that we are having on the community. What sets Konfidence is Key apart from other platforms is we don’t desire to do anything other than operate in purpose. We continue to meet people who need to hear this message.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Future plans right now are underway… We are looking at opening a location in Dallas, Texas. I desire to create a Counseling and Coaching practice to meet the needs of everyone struggling with low self-esteem and lack of confidence. The website is currently being built, and we are excited about 2019, and there is so much more to come.
