Who taught you the most about work?

Society has its myths about where we learn – internships, books, school, etc. However, in our conversations with some of the most interesting and trailblazing entrepreneurs and creatives we noticed the biggest lessons they learned about work often came from unexpected sources. We’ve shared some of those responses below.

Lee’Or Meyerson

My father taught me about working hard and hustling, but my mother taught me the meaning of perservering through difficult times while still working hard and getting the job done. She had a disease that kept her in constant severe pain. No matter what, she always took care of me, my sister and my dad while running the family business. Read more>>

The White Cane Safety Day is an annual celebration typically held in mid-October to recognize the achievements of people who are blind or have low vision. This recognition also helps raise awareness about the white cane as a tool of independence. The person who taught me the most about work wasn’t someone famous—it was $TYLJA aka Daraja Hakizimana of My Block Recordz (MBR), My Mentor. I learned early that nothing worth having comes easy.
