Anchalee Chu shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Anchalee, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is a normal day like for you right now?
My normal day to get up and see how I can improve my business and how I can help my customer save money.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Anchalee Chu, I was born in Bangkok Thailand. I came to the United States when I was 12-year-old. I was sad to leave my grandparents but at the same time I was curious about this new country. I did not speak any English, but I did study the basic in Thailand. I knew that I have an opportunity to do something that I was good at. I own a restaurant when I was 22 years old. When I was young, I always have the desire to own a business and work for myself. I knew that I was good at it. As I get older and marry and have children which I am very proud of. They are very successful with their career. Once the children are in college then I started working for the energy company in the retail side as a broker with my husband. We both love the business, couple of year later we have decided to start our own broker firm. We started Zon Energy in 2007 and still working at the present time and loving it. I love communicating with my clients and help them safe money. Most of the clients are still with me ever since I started the business to the present time. As a broker we went extra mile to help the client by giving them a good rates and customer service, not many brokers do this. I will let them know if they have a disconnection and then make a payment for them instead of them having to call and make the payment. It’s rewarding to see my clients are happy and satisfy with my service.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My parents and Grand Parents.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Before I became successful my family was struggling with one income and a big family that we have to care for. When I was growing up, I saw too many people have it worse than I. I saw people living on the street and begging and I knew that I have to do better, I have to make the difference and help others.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I have always been the same. I told myself if I ever become wealthy, I will still treat other with respect and kindness. This is very important to me not to forget who I am.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
They will miss the honesty, integrity and great relationship that I had built with them for the past 20 years. Of course, great services
