An Inspired Chat with Claudia Fernandez Carquez of Katy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Claudia Fernandez Carquez. Check out our conversation below.

Claudia , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Recently, I’ve felt very proud seeing how my clients not only enhance their appearance but also regain their confidence. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that my work can have such a positive impact on how they feel about themselves. I started this journey with a dream and a lot of effort, and now seeing the results — happy clients, personal growth, and having my own space that truly reflects my passion — fills me with satisfaction. Plus, there are always moments of laughter during my days; my clients bring such good energy and funny stories that make each day brighter. I truly believe that pride and joy go hand in hand when you do what you love with heart.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Claudia Fernández, and I’m a aesthetic professional based in Houston, Texas. I specialize in treatments that help people look and feel their best, including laser hair removal, Botox, fillers, tanning, tattoo removal and skin care. What makes my brand unique is the focus on creating a personalized experience — every client receives care designed specifically for them, in a warm and uplifting environment.

For me, beauty goes beyond appearance. It’s about confidence, self-love, and balance. That’s why I always aim to make every visit not just a treatment, but a moment of self-care and positive energy. I’m currently growing my private suite, a space I created with love, where each detail reflects my passion for helping others feel beautiful inside and out.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I used to believe that I had to be perfect and please everyone to be valued, and that making mistakes was a sign of weakness. Over time, I realized that there is no greater strength than being authentic, allowing yourself to learn, ask for help, and grow through your mistakes. Today, I embrace my imperfections as part of my story and my growth. I no longer seek perfection, but genuine connection—with myself and with others—because true beauty and strength come from being yourself, with an open heart and a peaceful mind.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I began turning my pain into power when I realized that every scar, every insecurity, and every difficult experience could become a source of strength to create true beauty. In my world, beauty isn’t just about appearances; it’s the confidence to embrace who you are, heal from within, and let that light shine outward. Every challenge I faced taught me to highlight authenticity, care for myself, and help others feel empowered in their own skin. True beauty is born when pain transforms into inspiration and action.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, it’s 100% my true self. I believe that authenticity is what allows me to deeply connect with people and earn the trust of my clients. I simply show everything: who I am, how I am, what I do, and how I look. I don’t hide anything, and I don’t act differently with some people than with others. I am myself in my fullest expression, just as I’ve always been. I love that people accept me as I am because I always share my reality with transparency and honesty. I never want to project something that isn’t me; I simply show up authentically at all times.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope they say I was someone who lived with an open heart, always seeking to bring light wherever I went, and who helped others feel good about themselves, both inside and out. That I was authentic, generous, passionate, and never stopped dreaming. That I loved connecting with people, listening, understanding, and being there for them. That I had deep empathy, a big heart, and inspired others to shine without fear. I want to be remembered as someone who believed in the power of kindness, authenticity, and love, and who lived each day with gratitude and purpose.
