An Inspired Chat with Danielle Emon of NYC

We recently had the chance to connect with Danielle Emon and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Danielle, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
“Outside of work, what’s been bringing me the most joy lately is traveling—it always inspires me and gives me fresh creativity for my collections. I’ve also been loving slow mornings on the deck with a cup of tea. There’s something so peaceful about starting the day that way.”

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Danielle Emon, the founder and designer of my namesake brand, Danielle Emon. I create timeless jewelry and elegant clothing for women who love style, travel, and celebrating life’s special moments. All of our jewelry is tarnish-free, hypoallergenic, and gold-plated—designed to be as beautiful and lasting as the women who wear it.

I’m originally from Long Island, New York, and my love for fashion started at a young age. After earning degrees in Business Administration and Fashion Design, I opened boutiques in the U.S. and internationally, hosted trunk shows and pop-ups at national retailers, and even launched China fashion tours to guide other entrepreneurs in sourcing and manufacturing.

What makes my brand unique is the combination of luxury and wearability—pieces that feel elevated but are meant to be enjoyed every day. Right now, I’m preparing for our next China tour in October, where we help entrepreneurs grow their businesses through sourcing, manufacturing, and branding. I’m also expanding through international trunk shows, while continuing to grow my collections and online boutique to bring women everywhere pieces that inspire confidence, beauty, and joy.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
“My mom. She’s always been the one to see my gifts and potential before I fully recognized them myself. Her belief in me gave me the courage to pursue my passions and build the brand I have today.”

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
“Don’t worry—it’s all going to work out. God will use everything—the good and the bad—to shape you, guide you, and prepare you for where you’re meant to be.”

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
“One of the biggest lies in the fashion and jewelry industry is that you need massive funding, celebrity endorsements, or a big backing to succeed. The truth is, you can build a sustainable, moderate business that provides you with a beautiful life year after year. Success doesn’t always have to look like overnight fame—it can be steady, intentional growth that still brings freedom, joy, and impact.”

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
I’m setting aside a percentage of all my sales for investments and charitable giving, creating a future not just for myself, but for others as well.
