Hi Jamarcus , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Waking up, brushing my teeth, taking a nice shower, checking my emails, responding to them, taking care of that, and then starting with what I had planned to take care of today.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jamarcus South, and I’m the owner of JTS CLOTHING, a Houston-based, eco-friendly, sustainable fashion brand. What makes us unique is that we’re more than just a brand; it’s a lifestyle. We put unique art on clothing that you won’t find just anywhere.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My dad knew I was special way before I did. He used to just sit and talk to me for hours when I was a kid and saw I would listen and be asking questions. He loved the fact I was paying attention.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, I stopped. Before, early on, I was frustrated. I didn’t understand why it wasn’t working out for me. I had to regroup, learn the ins and outs, and be patient and respect the process.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
