We recently had the chance to connect with Natasha Kontominas & Tanyha Vaughn and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Natasha & Tanyha, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
So when we initially started this Podcast, we never intended it to be based on God. It started as an inside look into our past, our present and everything in between. It’s what people would call “chisme”. Although we still focus on those things because they are part of our testimony, we have shifted into a more “walk with GOD” type of deal. Being bold in our faith is something we may not have been as loud about before.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
We’re Tanyha and Natasha — best friends, chaos survivors, faith walkers, and the voices behind the Bound By WTF podcast.
We created Bound By WTF because we needed a space that was real — a space where we could talk about trauma, healing, motherhood, relationships, faith, and breakdowns without filters or masks. What started as a way to process our own pain turned into a platform for other people’s stories, too.
Bound By WTF is a raw, unfiltered podcast where faith meets real life. We’re not here to preach — we’re here to hold space for the messy middle. Through bold conversations, testimony, and storytelling, we give voice to people walking through the fire, wrestling with God, and still showing up.
The name started as “what the f***” — because that’s where we were. But now it also means walking through faith — because that’s where God is leading us. Whether you’re bound by pain, confusion, healing, or calling… you’re not alone. And we’re proof that God can meet you in the middle of the mess and still do something powerful with your story.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
I think for both of us; it would be our chaotic start. We no longer indulge in the drama and the chaos. We are trying to walk a path that will lead others to Christ. In order to do that, we have to let go of all the “messy” and embrace the faith.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
When we both realized that hiding it wasn’t doing anything but harming us. There is more healing when you speak it out loud. I think we can use that power to also help others stop hiding and live in their truth; whatever that may look like.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
We are each others closest friend. We are in this walk together and our eternity is what matters the most.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When we are gone, I hope people say we were real. That we didn’t hide behind perfection, but showed up raw, messy, and honest. Through Bound by WTF, we wanted people to feel less alone, to know they could laugh through the chaos, cry when it hurt, and still trust God had a plan. Our story isn’t about being polished; it’s about walking through faith, stumbling and all, and helping others believe they could too.
