Art & Life with Josh Novosad

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Novosad.

Josh, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I’m also known as “Washie Boomin” or “WashiesPhotos,” in the Houston Photography & recording communities. I was born in Houston but raised out in Katy, Texas. The name “Washie” originated in junior high first coming from “Joshie Washie” a nickname my friends had given me in the 7th grade but is now “Washie Boomin.” While in the 8th grade was when I first started really getting into the recording & producing music for artists & myself, but it was not until the 11th grade when things for the studio had started to really start going somewhere. Now, it’s a full-time open home recording studio with a very nice clientele.

Meanwhile with the photography side of things by 2017 I never really did anything with it just knew I could take some pretty okay photos. In December 2017, I had started taking photography as a hobby, editing photos as well & sometimes posting them. Now, I have an Instagram dedicated to my photography known as “Washiesphotos.”

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
The art I love & would do everyday & everywhere is photography. I would love to make content & take the most incredible pictures while traveling the world no matter where it would be. I actually plan on taking a few trips this year to make this possible, Los Angeles, California being one of them. For some photography is whatever to them but to me, it makes me gives me a high off the adventure & memories made traveling & the whole process of photography & that’s why I do this.

We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
Loneliness? I never really tend to feel like this because of the work & I feel like I’m always working with like-minded individuals everyday & always doing a different thing rather it be photography or recording in the studio. Always connecting with others & networking getting myself out there more so connect with more people in my art form. Once you connect with one person in your art, it makes the rest a lot easier.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
Anyone can see any of my work through any of my social media, rather it be recording, photography & much more! Both of my accounts have had many different accounts interact with it ranging from locals, agencies of all kinds & many influencers worldwide.
