Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Longoria.
Hi Ana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My story didn’t begin with a perfect plan…it has been shaped through motherhood, hard seasons, starting over, and learning to believe in myself again. I’m a mother of three, a grandmother, a full-time insurance Advisor, and a lifestyle content creator. For many years, so much of my identity was centered around taking care of everyone else. After experiencing divorce and rebuilding my life, I began discovering who I was outside of simply being needed by others.
I started creating content by sharing pieces of my everyday life; motherhood, fashion, faith, relationships, home, and the honest thoughts that come with becoming yourself again in your 40s. What began as a creative outlet grew into a community of women who relate to the real, imperfect moments I share. I’ve learned that people don’t always need perfection; sometimes they just need to see someone navigating the same seasons they are.
Today, I balance my career, family, and growing platform while continuing to evolve personally and creatively. My journey has taught me that it is never too late to start over, pursue something that excites you, or become the woman you may have put on hold while caring for everyone else. I’m still building and learning, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come and I hope my story encourages other women to believe that their next chapter can be their best one.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. I became a mom young, so a lot of my adult life has been about balancing motherhood, working full-time, providing for my family, and learning as I went. There were seasons where I put so much of myself into taking care of everyone else that I wasn’t really thinking about what I wanted for myself.
One of my biggest challenges has probably been learning not to compare my timeline to anyone else’s. It’s easy to look around and feel like you should be further along, should have accomplished more, or should already have everything figured out. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that life doesn’t happen on one perfect timeline.
Starting to create content and explore new opportunities later in life has pushed me outside of my comfort zone and challenged a lot of my own self-doubt. I’m learning to give myself permission to want more, try new things, and build something for myself while still being present for the people I love. I think the struggles along the way have made me more resilient and have taught me that sometimes you don’t find yourself once you continue becoming her over and over again.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I work full-time in the insurance industry with an agency, where I focus primarily on personal lines. I’ve built a strong career in the industry and have learned so much through the years about professionalism, relationships, and the importance of truly caring about the people you work with.
I think what sets me apart is that I’m very hands-on, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in doing things well. I manage a large book of business, so my days can be busy, but I take a lot of pride in being dependable and someone both my team and clients can count on.
Outside of my insurance career, I’ve also been growing as a content creator, which has given me a completely different creative outlet. I enjoy sharing pieces of my everyday life, motherhood, fashion, relationships, self-care, and the real moments in between. I love that I’m able to have an established professional career while still giving myself permission to explore something creative and new.
For me, both sides of my work represent growth. I’ve learned that you don’t have to fit into one box professionally, and you can continue evolving and discovering new passions at any stage of life.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that surprises a lot of people about me is that I’m already a grandmother. I became a mom young, so now I’m in this unique season of life where I’m still actively raising my younger children while also getting to experience the joy of watching my oldest daughter become a mother herself.
It’s such a full-circle experience and one of my favorite parts of this stage of life. I think it also represents so much of what I share online life in your 40s can hold so many different things at once. I can be a mom, a grandmother, have a full-time career, build something creatively for myself, and still be figuring out who I’m becoming next.
