Check Out Britttany Christine’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Britttany Christine.

Hi Britttany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve been an Actress my entire adult life. I guess you could say I started acting as a child, for the outdoor, drive by, Christian nativity scene at our family church. I remember thinking to myself, “acting’s hard” because I was cold being outside at night so long with hand warmers. But I got to put that resistance built up from all those years to good use for the first time in Kevin Hamedani’s, Zombies of Mass Destruction. And for the second time, was in Steven Spielberg’s Terra Nova. Both were just Featured parts no dialog but they were fun to act like a Bride who got killed on her wedding day, covered in blood walking like a zombie down from a church, and the other, like a woman from the future being attacked by dinosaurs from the past that hadn’t been added in with special effects yet. Both set experiences were long grueling hrs at night in nature just as the outdoor plays had been as a child, so I felt right at home in that. However these days, I do mostly lead roles.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think I’ve ever met a person that works in the entertainment industry with a smooth road. I myself, have had too many obstacles to list without my life sounding like a sob story, so rather than spotlight the worst and have people feel sorry for me or those challenges, I would rather say, I believe struggles are what build character and integrity so now as they arise, I greet them with pleasure instead of pain, knowing I will come out wiser and stronger from whatever each was sent to teach me. Struggles are what mold and build us as humans.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m mostly known as being an Actress but with age and enough time in front of the camera I started to discover I really enjoy the Producing side of things as well. This came about because other Actor friends and first time Filmmakers started approaching me for help with their passion projects due to knowing I had more experience than them in the indie circuit and wanting to see how I could help them accomplish their goals in going that route. I especially love working with new Filmmakers because they are so excited to see what their capable of and to get their work out there. No one forgets their first- it’s very special and meaningful for the artist. I find that energy motivates me even more to get their stories seen and heard and the more I resonate with the story, the better I can pitch it as well.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
