Check Out Manny Griggs’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Manny Griggs.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey has really been about believing in myself before other people could see the vision. I’m a Houston native and I’ve always had a creative and entrepreneurial spirit. I started by simply creating content, making people laugh, entertaining my community, and finding different ways to connect with people through social media.
Over time, what started as a passion grew into something much bigger. I began building my brand as Manny Griggs while also pursuing opportunities in comedy, motivational speaking, fitness and wellness, photography, videography, and event promotion. I’ve had the opportunity to work with artists, attend and cover major events, create content for different brands and personalities, and build a following across multiple platforms.
There have definitely been challenges along the way. I’ve had moments where I questioned myself, experienced financial setbacks, and had to figure things out without always having a clear roadmap. But those experiences taught me resilience and reminded me that success isn’t always about how fast you get there—it’s about continuing to move forward.
Today, I see Manny Griggs as more than just a content creator. I’m building a brand centered around entertainment, creativity, wellness, entrepreneurship, and community. My goal is to continue growing while creating opportunities for other people along the way.
Ultimately, my story is still being written. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I’m even more excited about where I’m going. I want people to see my journey and understand that you can start with an idea, bet on yourself, and turn that idea into something bigger than you originally imagined.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There have been plenty of moments where I had to figure things out through trial and error. One of the biggest struggles has been building a career in an industry where there isn’t always a clear path or guaranteed paycheck. As a content creator and entrepreneur, I’ve had to learn how to create opportunities for myself instead of waiting for someone else to give me one.
I’ve also dealt with financial challenges, setbacks, opportunities that didn’t work out, and moments where I questioned whether I was moving in the right direction. There were times when I had to step back, reevaluate, and remind myself why I started in the first place.
What helped me push through was understanding that setbacks are part of the process. Every difficult season taught me something—whether it was about business, relationships, discipline, or believing in myself. I learned that you can’t allow one bad chapter to convince you that the entire story is going to be bad.
Those struggles actually shaped the person and brand I am today. They made me more resilient, more intentional, and more appreciative of every opportunity I receive. I’m still growing, still learning, and still building, but I’m proud that I never stopped.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is centered around entertainment, content creation, and creating experiences that bring people together. I’m a social media content creator, comedian, motivational speaker, photographer, videographer, fitness and wellness advocate, and event personality. I specialize in creating engaging, high-energy content that connects with people authentically and turns everyday moments, events, and experiences into stories people want to watch and share.
I’m known as Manny Griggs, a Houston-based creator who has built a recognizable personality and brand through social media. Whether I’m covering an event, working with an artist, creating comedy, promoting a business, or simply interacting with my audience, I try to bring an energy that feels genuine and uniquely mine.
What I’m most proud of is that I’ve been able to build something from the ground up without having to fit myself into one category. I’ve created opportunities across entertainment, media, events, and wellness while continuing to grow my audience and my brand. I’m proud of the relationships I’ve built throughout Houston and the opportunities I’ve been able to create for myself and others.
What sets me apart is my versatility and my ability to connect with people. I don’t just want to be a person holding a camera or posting content—I want to be part of the experience. I understand how to entertain, create, promote, network, and tell a story. I believe that combination allows me to bring value beyond social media and makes Manny Griggs a brand that can continue to evolve.
Most importantly, I want my work to represent Houston in a positive way while showing other people that you can build something meaningful by betting on yourself, staying consistent, and being willing to evolve.

What does success mean to you?
I define success as being able to build a life that I’m genuinely proud of while making an impact on the people around me. Money, followers, opportunities, and recognition are all great, but I don’t believe those things alone define success.
For me, success is having the freedom to create, being able to provide for myself and my family, and having the ability to turn my ideas into real opportunities. It’s also being in a position where I can open doors for other people and use my platform to inspire someone who may be watching my journey and thinking, “If Manny can do it, maybe I can too.”
I’ve learned that success isn’t a destination. It’s growth. It’s looking at where you were a year ago and realizing that you’ve become more disciplined, more knowledgeable, more confident, and closer to the person you want to become.
Ultimately, I want to be successful without losing myself in the process. If I can build a lasting brand, create meaningful experiences, take care of the people I love, inspire others, and leave Houston better than I found it, I consider that success.
