Check Out Maryna Lasseigne’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maryna Lasseigne

Hi Maryna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a proud immigrant from Ukraine, and my journey as a wedding florist began seven years ago in my home country. At that time, I knew I was preparing to move to the United States, and I wanted to pursue a career that truly sparked joy, rather than continue as a tax accountant. My passion for flowers was ignited during a floral workshop on Valentine’s Day—a thoughtful gift from my fiancé. With each passing year, my love for floristry and the event industry has only grown stronger. Floristry is like fashion; it’s ever-evolving, and I am committed to staying on the cutting edge. I continually learn new techniques and designs from industry leaders like Intrigue Design, JennyTFloristry, and Joseph Massie, to bring modern and fresh ideas to my brides.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been an easy road, primarily due to the human factor. When I first arrived in Houston, my English was decent, but I struggled to understand the variety of accents in such a diverse city. Another challenge was adjusting to the different mentality here. As a former accountant, most of my work revolved around numbers, so transitioning into a role that required strong communication skills with a variety of people was a significant hurdle. However, practice makes it easier. Being a florist might seem like it’s all about arranging flowers, but it’s much more than that. We have to excel not only in creating beautiful designs—something that comes naturally to us—but also in psychology, accounting, social marketing, and more. To manage all these aspects, I’ve developed a step-by-step workflow that keeps me organized and helps my brides stay organized as well. I believe that the mission of Ladies Love Flowers is to guide our customers every step of the way, making the floral design their love story process as seamless and stress-free as possible.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
