Check Out Michayla Feaster’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michayla Feaster

Hi Michayla, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up, I’ve always had a creative mind, from cutting up my clothes to fit my style to practicing makeup tutorials in the mirror. I graduated from THE Prairie View A&M University with my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, but that has never been my passion. I started my YouTube Channel “Michayla Roquell” my freshman year of college, posting vlogs, makeup tutorials, outfits, etc. and it would feel good to have people come up to me saying “You the girl from YouTube?” My passion has always been to influence the people around me and out in the world. Today, I continue to post outfit inspo on my TikTok and instagram, am managing NHO Nelly, a rap artist here in Houston, I’ve been doing nails for 4 years now, and my partner and I created a “Lovers In Food” TikTok where we record our opinions on different restaurants and show off our cooking skills. I do all of this while still using my degree, working a 9-5. I want to show people that you don’t have to limit yourself, do it all!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing is ever smooth. Taking losses, removing friends/family, having to adjust to new environments are all obstacles that I’ve faced, but I always come out on top.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an all around creative. I am a nail artist so I love to display my skills. I specialize in editing and styling. I do instructional design work, YouTube edits, intros, and TikTok edits. I am most proud of my willingness to learn because I don’t know everything. There is always room for improvement,

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was very shy and quiet growing up. I loved and still love to laugh and smile. I kept a lot of things bottled up because as a first born, I always felt the need to be strong at all times, but I was very emotional. Above all, I’ve always had a hustle mentality. I sold candy, I did braids in high school, $100 a head, dance team, straight A student. I always had goals and knew that I would be better than what I come from.
