Today we’d like to introduce you to Sir Rome.

Hi Sir, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Sir Rome is a vibrant, soulful, powerful vocalist and songwriter from Richmond, VA. He is a genre-defying artist who wears his heart and identity on his sleeve. His colorful music includes genres of pop, funk, County, house and R&B. His captivating melodies are comprised of thought-provoking, relatable messaging that focuses on mental health awareness, equality, and the human experience. With undeniable talent and inviting music, he lights up any room and is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Sir Rome born Jerome Edward Pratt II got an early musical start from singing in his father’s church where his mother was directing choirs and also on the organ. He has spent years cultivating his gifts to performing for governors and dignitaries, to corporations like the ‘Martin Agency” his versatility and unique sound has and will continue to open many doors and lead to a long resounding career.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been many struggles from dealing with mental health issues like ADHD anxiety depression, as well as going through identity crisis. Learning to stand tall in who I am which is a strong black gay plus size man in society. I am pushing to break the mold and stereotypes of the industry and reach those who still gravitate towards exceptional music.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a vocalist first and a writer arranger. What I am known for is breaking the mold and creating freely. This current project is called The Crown Series. It is music categorized by color, each color is a different genre and showcases my versatility vocally and in my writing. I’m most proud of my growth I have written thousands of songs and recorded hundreds to cultivate my sound and pen. What sets me apart is my ability to make new music that gives you a nostalgic feel. To bring about timeless music and not something here today and gone tomorrow. Also my vocal ability and range for a male is truly rare and leaves audiences in awe.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I was once a gymnast as a child and loved to tumble.
