Hi Christina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been very passionate to help others, I worked in healthcare for 13+ years working with family medicine, pregnant women and pediatrics. After having my first child in 2021 during Covid-19 Pandemic I wanted to be a SAHM. I realized that I wanted something different and to continue working from home for myself while taking care of my first-born daughter having her by my side. I’ve always dreamed of having my own business being my own boss and this was the perfect moment to start but never knew what type of business I wanted to pursue. I was not feeling confident of my body during postpartum mentally, physically and emotionally. One day I was researching different beauty professions and came across noninvasive body contouring and had never heard about it until that day, I was very interested. I decided to try body sculpting for myself and after the experience I l0ved my results and how confident it made me feel after being 6 months postpartum. That’s when I realized I knew exactly what I wanted to pursue and start my own business in body contouring to also help make other women feel confident from not only the outside but from the inside. I did my research and found the best instructor/mentor, Elizabeth Reyes, here in Houston. I was scared to start my business from home without knowing where to begin but I did from scratch and had help from my mentors and still learning new techniques. When I started my business from home, I had clients that were interested and trusted in me of my skills and letting me practice different method techniques to get good results on them. I also did mobile services to help other women that didn’t have a babysitter or transportation or even just time for themselves. I love what I do it’s my therapy as well and makes me feel good about myself and when I see new and established clients leave with more confidence and trusting the process and choosing me as their body sculptor specialist. I am where I am today with God by my side and my village and people that believed in me and gave me a chance to help me grow my business by powerful women empowering other women. Once I was ready to work out of my home Nicole (Nikki) Lopez welcomed me with open arms to help promote and grow my business in her Salon in Houston Heights, she’s a hairstylist/owner of her Salon. One day my dream is to have a storefront of my own with a daycare inside for my clients.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting and running a business with young children is intense juggling priorities and having a reliable support system.
We sacrifice sleep, social lives, self-care, eating less. Sometimes makes you feel like you’re failing and want to give up. But what keeps me going is my 2 beautiful daughters age 5 and 3 and my support system and this beautiful community that believes in me and keep pushing me to keep going and now going in 4 years strong in my business. I strive to continuously improve my work to give my clients the best service.
We’ve been impressed with Bella’s Physiques, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is named after my first-born daughter Isabella nickname Bella but also means beautiful bodies.
I’m a registered medical assistant and Certified Body Contouring/Body sculpting Specialist. I specialize in non-invasive body sculpting to use different modalities to help reduce stubborn fat, tighten skin, and tone muscle definition without surgery or downtime.
I help women and also men destroy and eliminate stubborn fat and tighten skin when diet and exercise doesn’t work. I love getting to know each and every one of my clients and guiding them through their fitness or weight loss journey to achieve their goals. These treatments are for also postpartum mommies that have FUPA (fat upper pubic area) pooch, scar tissue and diastasis recti (abdominal separation). If you have had vaginal delivery, you must wait 3 months and Cesarians must wait 3-6 months depending how fast they heal but once healed. Any plastic surgery done must be healed and recommended bare minimum 6 months or cleared by physician to begin non-invasive body contouring.
All my treatments include wood therapy, ultrasonic cavitation, radiofrequency, redlight therapy, vibration plate with no downtime. We all have different body type but with my technique I can help determine your needs and help get to your goal. I love what I do, and I am very passionate about my work and connecting with people to make sure they feel comfortable and confident.
