Today we’d like to introduce you to Farrah Larae Wynn.
Hi Farrah Larae, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Entrepreneurship has been a defining part of my life for more than a decade. I began my career in public relations and marketing, building brands, developing campaigns, producing events, creating media opportunities, and helping entrepreneurs and organizations bring their visions to life. Those experiences gave me an invaluable education in business, branding, communication, relationships, and what it truly takes to build something from the ground up.
As my career evolved, so did my vision. I realized that my greatest passion extended beyond helping people gain visibility. I wanted to help women build — businesses, confidence, community, purpose, and lives they genuinely enjoy. That realization led to the development of FL Enterprises, the parent company and ecosystem through which I am bringing together the different areas of my work.
At this stage of my life, I identify with the women I want to serve because I am one of them. I am a business owner, mother, woman of faith, sister, daughter, friend, and creative. I understand the complexity of pursuing ambitious goals while still wanting to be present for your family, deepen your faith, feel beautiful, enjoy your life, and become a better version of yourself.
FL Enterprises was born from the belief that women should not have to separate those parts of themselves in order to be successful.
Today, my focus is building an ecosystem that equips female entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs with practical resources, meaningful community, inspiring media, and lifestyle-driven experiences that support both the business they are building and the woman they are becoming.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has certainly not been smooth, but many of the challenges have provided the clarity I needed to build this next chapter intentionally.
One of my greatest lessons has been learning that being capable of doing many things does not mean I am called to do everything at once. Entrepreneurship can easily reward overextension. There were seasons when I was building for clients, developing my own ideas, managing multiple responsibilities, raising my daughter, and trying to remain present in my personal life simultaneously.
I have experienced financial uncertainty, ideas that needed to be reworked, professional relationships that changed, periods of exhaustion, and moments when I had to admit that something I had outgrown was still occupying too much of my time.
My faith has been the anchor through those seasons. It has taught me to view transition differently. A pivot is not always evidence that something failed; sometimes it is evidence that something fulfilled its purpose and it’s time to move on.
I now understand that every chapter contributed something necessary. Public relations teaches me how to tell stories and create visibility. Entrepreneurship teaches me resilience. Media has taught me how to connect with audiences. Motherhood changed my perspective on time and purpose. My faith continues to shape how I define success.
These lessons have made me a more focused founder. I am no longer interested in simply proving how much I can do. I am interested in building what I believe I am supposed to build.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about FL Enterprises?
FL Enterprises is a multidimensional business and lifestyle ecosystem created to empower women personally, professionally, and spiritually. At its core is a simple belief: when we invest in the woman, we strengthen everything she has been called to build.
The company brings together a portfolio of distinct but interconnected brands spanning entrepreneurship, education, media, faith, community, beauty, fashion, wellness, and professional services. The growing FL Enterprises portfolio includes Boss Babe Life Hacks, The Elite Society, The Elite Society University (TESU), Elite Performance PR & Marketing, Splendid Entertainment, LaRaé Skin, The Vanity, Farrah’s Closet, and The PMS Brand, among other developing concepts.
While the portfolio is diverse, the mission is focused: we are building for the whole woman.
Boss Babe Life Hacks is one of our primary entry points for female entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs. Through the podcast and workbook, it offers practical, relatable conversations and resources around starting, building, and navigating entrepreneurship.
The Elite Society University (TESU) serves as the educational arm of the ecosystem, creating opportunities for deeper learning and development, while The Elite Society centers faith, community, personal growth, events, and meaningful connection.
Elite Performance PR & Marketing brings more than a decade of experience in public relations, branding, communications, marketing, and visibility, while Splendid Entertainment expands the ecosystem into media and original programming.
Our consumer-facing brands allow us to meet women in other areas of their lives. LaRaé Skin and The Vanity explore beauty and self-care; Farrah’s Closet brings fashion and personal style into the ecosystem; and The PMS Brand creates space for conversations and resources centered around the realities of womanhood.
These brands are not intended to operate as unrelated ventures. Each one addresses a different dimension of the woman we serve.
She may discover us because she has a business idea and needs the Boss Babe Life Hacks workbook. As she grows, she may pursue deeper education through TESU, find sisterhood and spiritual development through The Elite Society, engage with our media through Splendid Entertainment, or discover a beauty, fashion, wellness, or lifestyle offering that speaks to another part of her life.
That is the vision behind FL Enterprises: an ecosystem a woman can grow with.
Entrepreneurship remains especially important to our mission because building a business rarely affects only the business. It touches a woman’s confidence, finances, schedule, family, relationships, faith, identity, and quality of life. We want to support not only what she is building, but the woman responsible for building it.
What once appeared to be separate businesses, concepts, content, events, and ideas now makes sense under one clear vision. We are not interested in creating brands simply for the sake of having a large portfolio. We are interested in creating meaningful solutions, resources, experiences, and conversations for women at different stages of their lives.
A woman might meet us as an aspiring entrepreneur and remain connected as she becomes a founder, grows in her career, raises a family, strengthens her faith, develops her personal style, prioritizes herself, and enters entirely new seasons of life.
Ultimately, success for FL Enterprises will not be measured simply by how many brands exist beneath the umbrella. It will be measured by what women are able to build, become, and experience because those brands existed.
We want women to build successful businesses, but we also want them to build lives they are excited to live.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
The most valuable networking lesson I have learned is to prioritize relationships over transactions.
It is easy to enter a room thinking about who someone is, what they have accomplished, or what opportunity they may be able to provide, but I have found much greater value in approaching people with genuine curiosity. I believe in identifying ways I can contribute, following through on what I say, and allowing relationships to develop organically.
I also believe strongly in intentional proximity. If you want to enter a particular industry, become familiar with the rooms where that industry gathers. Attend conferences, panels, workshops, community events, and professional gatherings. Listen. Learn the language. Ask thoughtful questions. Introduce yourself. Follow up.
Consistency matters.
Mentorship can also take many forms. Some of my greatest lessons have come from people who never formally carried the title of “mentor.” We can learn through conversations, observation, books, interviews, leadership experiences, and proximity.
My advice is to look beyond someone’s accomplishments and pay attention to the life they have built around those accomplishments. I am interested in learning from people whose character, values, relationships, leadership, and quality of life I respect — not simply their résumé.
Relationships have been one of the greatest assets throughout my career, and I believe the strongest ones are built before you need something.
As I enter this next era of entrepreneurship, that principle remains central to how I want to build FL Enterprises and serve women.
My mission is not simply to help women build businesses. I want to help build the women who will lead them. When a woman is strengthened in her faith, confidence, knowledge, identity, and purpose, there is no limit to what she can create.
