Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
For years, I talked about becoming an entrepreneur and how I wanted nothing more than to own A clothing store. In 2019, I worked at A law firm making almost 5k A month when suddenly our income decrease significantly. I remember coming home thinking to myself, “Maybe this is the time to focus on building my own business.” I knew If I could put my time and effort into entrepreneurship, I wouldn’t have to worry about being an employee anymore or having someone control how much money I could make daily, weekly, or monthly.
In April 2019, I registered my LLC for Closed Closet Boutique & begin planning and saving on launching. March 2020, almost A year later, I decided it was time to step out on faith and follow my dreams! I put in my two-week notice on March 4, 2020, preparing to devote my time to Closed Closet Boutique. Just four short months later, I launched! Creating A path to success for myself.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been A smooth road, but I can say the bumps along the way are meant to teach you, not break you. Some of my personal struggles were learning who my target audience are, how to manage my business finances, And the big banger was MARKETING! I’m an online e-commerce store, so marketing is A significant part of my business. Having to learn how to reach your audience can be A struggle in the beginning. But I must say with consistency, determination, and my ability to keep going even when things got hard is what pulled me through.

Closed Closet Boutique Is an online clothing store. We’re known for our ability to provide our shoppers with balance! As women, some days, we wake up and want to grab A quick, simple “Get Up & Go” look. While other days you want to get cute for brunch or A night out on the town. Either way our store has you covered! I am most proud of owning A business that is able to cater to more than one type of woman. My business literally reflects who I am as A person. Closed Closet believes in individuality. We encourage SELF LOVE & want all of our #ClosetCuties to feel & look AMAZING!
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
If you’re considering opening an online clothing boutique, I would suggest taking A moment to gain clarity on who your customers are and how you plan to get your brand in front of them. It is absolutely important to stay CONSISTENT!! Understand that you do NOT have to do everything that everyone else is doing to be successful. Find what works for you and GO FOR IT! More importantly, remove ALL self-doubt. You can do this.❤️
