Community Highlights: Meet Tierra Kirts of Tierra Sade

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tierra Kirts.

Hi Tierra, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
A major turning point in my story began after I moved to Houston. I was in a new city where I did not yet have friends or a support system. It was just God and me. What initially felt like isolation became a season of discovery because, without my support system and other distractions around me, I had the space to see myself more clearly. When I look back at that time, I believe God had me isolated because He wanted to do work that only He could take credit for.

During that time, I started to recognize a pattern that I kept repeating: I had built much of my identity around other people’s acceptance, so I did not have a firm sense of who I was apart from them. That lack of identity showed up everywhere. I compromised myself in romantic relationships and friendships, made myself smaller to maintain acceptance, and shied away from opportunities because I did not trust myself enough to pursue them. In the end, I was frustrated and left with the persistent feeling that I was supposed to be doing something meaningful and becoming the woman God created me to be, but it always felt just beyond my reach.

Eventually I had to confront a lot of uncomfortable truths about myself and my life. Where I kept landing was not simply the result of a bad hand being dealt to me. My own decisions were contributing to those outcomes. I had to admit, “I didn’t love myself as much as I thought I did.”

Admitting this was a moment that changed everything for me. I started asking God and myself many uncomfortable questions and didn’t run when I heard the answers. Reflections like this became a tool for breakthrough for me. I started to understand for the first time that I was already deeply loved and accepted so I didn’t need to “do” things FOR love and acceptance.

I emerged from that season a different person. More secure, higher standards, The change was so tangible that when I was around family and friends it was often commented on. That transformation inspired me to help other women love and choose themselves while recognizing that they are already loved and chosen by God. In 2020, I created If She Is to Be Found: Healing the Single Woman, a course designed to help Christian women recognize their God-given value, confront their insecurities, take radical responsibility for their choices, and bridge the gap between their faith and how they approached confidence, dating, and relationships.

That course became the foundation for my one-on-one coaching, group coaching, teaching, and work with women across different relationship stages, as well as high school and college-aged young women. Over the years, I have seen that when people change their perspective of themselves (through the Father’s , they begin showing up differently in every area of their lives.

I later created practical tools for people navigating vulnerable seasons, including The Breakup to Breakthrough Journal and the Disruption Decks for men and women. Today, I am expanding that work through Disruption Coaching, a framework designed to help women identify and interrupt the hidden patterns that are keeping them stuck.

So much of what we do is driven by habit and survival rather than intention. I believe that when we make those hidden patterns visible, we become empowered to choose differently, break cycles, and grow beyond identities we once thought were permanent.

I am still doing that work in my own life. The difference is that I now feel confident in the tools I have acquired along the way, and I have developed such a deep trust in God that I am willing to follow wherever He leads, even when I cannot see what comes next. For me, that is where radical responsibility, ongoing transformation, and the power of God meet.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Some of my most difficult obstacles have been internal ones that other people could not always see. Earlier on, I’d battled with a lot of imposter syndrome and fear. At times, I still have to work through fear. I have had to unlearn people-pleasing, overfunctioning, fear of rejection or misunderstanding, and the tendency to make myself smaller when I was unsure of myself. There were times when I stayed quiet or shied away from opportunities because I feared being exposed as not knowing enough. I worried that if I shared an idea, it might be the only good idea I had, or that I would eventually reach the limit of what I could offer. That fear caused me to play smaller than my abilities and calling required.

I am still working on that as I grow and my work evolves. The difference is that I now trust the tools I have acquired, I am quicker to recover when I fall back into an old pattern, and I have developed a deeper trust in God’s direction and intention for me. I often remind myself that He’s invested in me being all He’s called me to be. I don’t have to prove to Him, I just have to partner with Him. and lean on His power when I reach my limits. The road has not been smooth, but the difficult parts have made my work more honest. I do not coach from the position of someone who believes she has arrived. I coach from the intersection of professional training, lived experience, continued practice, and faith.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Tierra Sade is a faith-grounded personal development and coaching brand that helps women recognize and disrupt the emotional, relational, and behavioral patterns keeping them stuck. My goal with every product and service I offer is to help women peel back the layers of anything clouding how they see themselves and God. With greater clarity and a renewed perspective, they can begin walking more fully in the identity God has called them to.

At the center of my work is the Disruption Framework. It helps people make hidden patterns visible by examining the triggers, thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and protective responses influencing their choices. From there, they learn how to interrupt automatic reactions and practice responses that are more aligned with their identity, values, and faith.

My coaching work began in 2020 with If She Is to Be Found: Healing the Single Woman, a course created to help Christian women understand their value, confront insecurity, take responsibility for their decisions, and develop healthier standards for dating and relationships. Since then, the work has expanded beyond dating to address the deeper patterns that affect how people show up in relationships, friendships, careers, leadership, faith, and their relationship with themselves.

Outside of my individual and group coaching offerings, I have also hosted events, speaking, workshops, presentations, and tools such as The Breakup to Breakthrough Journal and the Disruption Decks. The Soft Shift, the women’s edition of the deck, grew from my own journey out of survival mode. I began realizing that some of what I had accepted as my personality was actually people-pleasing, control, or a protective response. The deck challenges women to see that living a soft life is less about an aesthetic and more about surrender and trust. The deck allows them to sit with the beliefs that underlie their patterns.

I’ve also created a Men’s Edition is a tool for men to reflect and challenge beliefs that may be keeping them stuck.

What sets my work apart is that I don’t just teach disruption. I practice it. I often sit with God, reflect on my experiences and what He is revealing through them. These moments of reflection, rather than just reacting, allow me to extract wisdom, identify patterns, and challenge myself to respond differently when my default response is no longer aligned with where my character is being called to.

I combine that lived practice with my background in psychology (M,S. Industrial/Organization Psychology, adjunct psychology instructor), as well as coaching, and leadership to create tools that are spiritually grounded, psychologically grounded, and practical.

I am most proud that experiences that could have remained private pain have become tools that help other people. I’m so grateful for the grace to turn what I have lived through into concepts and tools that help others find freedom and break patterns in their own lives.

How do you think about luck?
I do not tend to think of my life in terms of luck. I believe in grace and favor, and I believe they are available in every season, even when they look different. In comfortable seasons, grace may look like ease, opportunity, or community. In maturing seasons, which often come through challenges, it may look like strength, perspective, or the resources needed to keep moving. My responsibility is to recognize what grace looks like in each season and steward it well.

One example I’ve share with my students is my educational journey. At one point, I had a 1.8 GPA. When I returned to college in Texas, I finished my first semester at Lone Star College with a 1.0 GPA and wondered whether school simply was not for me. Instead of allowing that experience to define me, I challenged myself to push beyond what I perceived to be my limitations. I significantly raised my GPA, completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Houston-Downtown, earned a master’s degree from Texas A&M University, and eventually returned to Lone Star College as an adjunct psychology instructor.

That experience continues to shape how I teach and coach. A setback can give us information without becoming our identity. Some of my most difficult experiences have matured me, redirected me, and even protected me. For me, grace and favor have not meant avoiding difficulty. They have meant receiving the strength, perspective to get through them successfully.
