Today we’d like to introduce you to Briauna Cousino.
Briauna, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After a divorce, I was struggling trying to find purpose in the midst of what was left of my life after the separation. I’ve always had a love for all things skin and beauty, so I decided to go to school and attain my aesthetics license. Upon getting my license, I worked at a brow bar where my passion for brow design grew. Seeing the transformation in my clients once I “Snatched” their brows was enough to push me to open my own Brow Bar.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I feel my biggest struggle has been how critical I am of myself. Feeling like everything should fall into place all at once and not accepting the growing pains in opening a business and building a brand. I’ve learned to be mentally prepared for setbacks and remain a student, always learning, always adapting, and never getting too comfortable. Owning your own business there is truly no off days. If you’re not servicing, you’re planning or finding ways to be innovative in a saturated industry. I feel no matter how many people are doing it, if its FOR YOU then there’s always room! Anything you’re passionate about will have some level of sacrifice and if it gets to easy, you’re not working hard enough!
What should we know about Snatched Brows? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I specialize in skin care and brow design. I am known for my signature Brow Tint! I feel what sets me apart from others is the rapport I build with every client. I try to make each of my clients feel like a BFF in my chair and not just another appointment.
Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
Remain a student and be consistent. Plan, plan, plan, and then plan some more. Invest in your craft and find ways to be innovative. Prepare yourself for the roller coaster ride that comes with building your brand be it beauty or corporate.
