Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Alcazar.
Cindy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started by experimenting for my family during the holidays, I was in charge of making desserts. Every holiday I would pick something different to offer so that I could work on a variety of items not just one. My family would always compliment my desserts, but I didn’t really think much of it. I just thought “oh, it’s my family they are just trying make me feel good”.
Once I got more people to try my desserts, I noticed everyone always had something good to say. I then quickly realized I really enjoyed this and people love my desserts. So I continued to pursue making desserts and treats as a hobby and after constant practice and some time spent in baking classes, I decided I wanted to put my skills to the test. and that’s when I decided to start what is known today as Cravings By Cindy.
Has it been a smooth road?
Advice I could lend to people starting their journey is, nothing good comes easy. If you feel the burden of hard times push through and use it as motivation. Cravings by Cindy wasn’t always a smooth road, having a newborn and trying to maintain a business and following was a struggle. But with the support of my family and followers I am in the position I am in today.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Cravings By Cindy story. Tell us more about the business.

I am mostly proud of how much effort I put into all my orders. I’m a perfectionist so I will always give it the best I can.
What sets me apart from others is, I try to have giveaways often to give back to my customers for all their support. I also offer First Responder Discounts in honor of my fiance being a police officer. When it comes to my chocolate strawberries I always get feedback about how big they are, I always try to choose the biggest strawberries to put into my orders, and I cover them all the way to the top!
Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
In this day and age social media is great for networking and meeting new people and creating opportunities. What has worked well for me is social media platforms.
