Founded by Billy Black, Black’s Automotive & Diesel was built on a lifelong passion for automotive performance and repair. What began as a one-person effort in Willis, TX has grown into a trusted shop known for technical skill, community connection, and honest, exceptional service.
From vintage cars to modern trucks, our experience bridges old-school craftsmanship and advanced technology. We take pride in every job—big or small—treating every customer like family while delivering precise, reliable repairs that stand the test of time.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s always a challenge keeping up with the newest technology in the automotive repair industry, and what’s being built into vehicles as well. Each year there seems to be more computers, more sensors and more technology we have to stay educated on.

Our digital diagnostic inspection process has set us apart from the pack. Our customers love the data, the transparency and ease of use we have put in place. Our inspection process goes above and beyond the industry standard. We provide documentation, photos and videos of the entire vehicle – we like to compare it to getting a physical, but for your vehicle. We include fluid samples, a driveline inspection, suspension components, belts and hoses, leak checks, maintenance checks like brakes and batteries, and service table checklists. We can also offer on site four-wheel laser alignments, required after front end and suspension work, or for maintenance. Our inspection process is comprehensive and easy to understand, and we can make our professional recommendations to our clients to keep them safe and moving on the road. Being a dealer for multiple upgrade companies such as JTX Wheels, Kryptonite Steering and Suspension Products, FASS fuel systems and more, we offer competitive pricing on premium upgrades! We aim to be the one stop shop.

We put music on every day in the shop. Sometimes it sets the mood for the day, depending on the channel we pick. Some days you’ll look around and everyone is singing along while they work. It makes the day more fun and often strikes up conversations.
