Today we’d like to introduce you to Estephany Galvan.
Estephany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When life unexpectedly changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself without a job and uncertain about what came next. What felt like one of the most difficult moments of my life ultimately became the beginning of something extraordinary. Instead of allowing a setback to define my future, I chose to turn a negative into a positive by building a business centered on love, hope, and human connection.
In 2022, I began my journey as a bilingual wedding officiant serving Houston and the surrounding areas. What started as a leap of faith has grown into a thriving business, and I have now had the incredible honor of joining more than 150 couples in marriage across Texas.
Being a wedding officiant is far more than standing at the altar, it’s about telling a story. Every couple has a unique journey, and I believe their ceremony should reflect exactly who they are. I take great pride in creating deeply personal and heartfelt ceremony scripts that capture each couple’s love story, personalities, and the moments that brought them together. My goal is for every ceremony to feel authentic, meaningful, and unforgettable. Not only for the couple but for every guest in attendance.
My passion for this work is what drives me. There is no greater privilege than witnessing two people promise forever to one another and knowing I had a small part in one of the most significant days of their lives. Every wedding reminds me why I took this leap of faith, and every “I do” reinforces that I made the right decision.
Today, I proudly serve couples throughout Houston and surrounding communities, helping them celebrate love in a way that is genuine, personal, and uniquely their own. My story is proof that sometimes life’s greatest setbacks become the foundation for our greatest purpose. Losing my job during the pandemic didn’t end my career, it led me to discover my true calling.
Every ceremony I officiate is a reminder that love has the power to transform lives. Mine included.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of my biggest struggles has been overcoming my anxiety around public speaking and putting myself out there. Stepping outside of my comfort zone and allowing myself to be seen and heard hasn’t always been easy. Over time, I’ve learned to push through that fear, trust myself, and recognize that growth often comes from doing the things that make us uncomfortable.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work is centered around people and creating meaningful connections. I’m known for being personable, approachable, and able to remain calm and composed in stressful or unexpected situations. I truly enjoy working with people and making them feel comfortable, heard, and supported.
One thing I’m especially proud of is being bilingual. It allows me to connect with more people in my community and communicate in a way that feels natural and personal to them. Being able to speak both English & Spanish has also allowed me to assist couples and their families with things that go beyond simply officiating a wedding. I’m often able to help answer questions, ease concerns, and be a reliable resource throughout their experience.
What sets me apart is that I don’t see my role as simply showing up, performing a ceremony, and leaving. I genuinely care about the people I work with and want them to feel supported every step of the way.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I have to give so much credit to my husband and my kids. Their love, support, and encouragement have played such a huge role in helping me get where I am today. They constantly push me to step outside of my comfort zone, believe in myself, and keep going after my dreams. Knowing that they believe in me makes me want to work even harder and continue growing. I’m incredibly grateful to have them by my side throughout this journey.
