Today we’d like to introduce you to Phyll Tha Prynce.
Hi Phyll Tha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I used to be known as just a regular guy that was born and raised in Beaumont, Tx. I’m not going to go into my whole life story, so let’s make a long story short. I moved to Houston after graduation from high school in 2003 and got bored and stagnant, so I decided to move to Atlanta where I wanted to become a “personality”. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! In 2018, I built the brand name of PhyllThaPrynce and that has stuck with me since. I managed to get into the radio industry where I became I radio personality for WTTRADIO (shout out to Captain Darrel Davis) the owner and manager of the station, a Brand Ambassador (shout out to TaeDesignz) the owner and designer of that fashion brand, and a TV personality on the hit web series reality show On The Way Up Atlanta seasons 2&3 ( shout out to Devonta Lamond) the Exec Producer of that show and also earned me a spot on the IMDB website. Later on in life I added the title of Cancer Survivor to my roster of things about PhyllThaPrynce where I rung the bell in August of 2025 and went viral with over 250,000 views of my story over shared social media platforms.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing in life worth fighting for and living for is ever going to be easy or smooth. I have been homeless, had fake friendships that I thought were genuine, had people get over on me, had challenges with support and even had some family turn their backs on me. Through it all, it also has made me a stronger person and I’ve learned yo always keep going and stay true to me and focused no matter what and who is there for you. Trying to navigate through this new journey in life as a cancer survivor has also been a tough road, but also interesting because I’m still figuring out this new person after the win!!!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I decided to move myself into a corporate setting in life. I am still looking for growth in the current profession. I currently work in Human Resources and I love it because I have a purpose to be placed in this type of position and it fits perfect for me. I’m still known for my huge personality and charisma along with my attention to detail. My team loves me and the way I keep the positive energy going daily at work.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I’m really a person that prefers to be more simplistic these days. When I get off of work I prefer to go into my own shell and world, take a nap, decompress, and be alone. I’m not exactly an introvert, but I prefer to step out every now and then now, but I enjoy spending time with myself.
