Daily Inspiration: Meet Dravion Coleman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dravion Coleman.

Hi Dravion, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to work for myself and build something of my own. I’ve worked many jobs for companies but i knew i was meant to create something for myself. Eventually, I reached a point where i had to trust God and trust myself to take that leap of faith. My journey into videography started in a very personal way, with my wife and a camera. We began vlogging our everyday life on youtube, just wanting to make people laugh and capture memories. Over time what started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. I found myself wanting to be behind the camera instead of in front of it. The turning point came shortly when our wedding coordinator reached out for an interview series he was dong with past clients. During our interview he mentioned needing a videographer to capture behind-the-scenes and I was already developing a passion for weddings. I decided to take the opportunity and that’s where everything really began.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting off it definitely was rough. I believe anytime you’re building something from the ground up and doing it alone there are going to be challenges but that is what makes the journey meaningful. When i first started my name wasn’t out there yet, and i was trying to find my place and style among other talented videographers who have already built there reputation. Getting clients were slow and there were times where i questioned myself if videography was the career i wanted to do especially with the responsibility of providing for my family.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a videographer/artist who films events, birthdays, baby/bridal showers, corporate events, basically anything that needs video. I specialize in wedding filmmaking where my goal is to turn real moments into a cinematic experience. I’m known for creating wedding films that feel like movies. When someone watches one of my films, i want them to feel like they’re sitting in a theater, reliving the emotions and love of that day all over again. What I’m most proud of is the genuine connections I’ve built with clients. For me, this isn’t just work but its my passion. What truly sets me apart from others is my work is driven by passion and purpose. Its never just about filming an event. I pour myself into every detail to make sure each film captures every emotion.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work or collaborate with we me whether its through a commercial, music video, or branded content. I’m always open to connecting and exploring creative ideas together. The best way to reach me is through my website or social platforms like Instagram. Even beyond direct work, I always appreciate when people share my work or refer others who might benefit from what i do.
