Today we’d like to introduce you to Mario Sanchez.
Hi Mario, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It started with 2 friends who had known each other for years. Roosevelt Mucker was Mario Sanchez’s barber. In 2019, Mario was sitting in Roosevelt’s chair getting a haircut and they were talking about their jobs and aspirations. Mario, at the time, was a Maintenance Supervisor and Roosevelt was a barber and a real estate agent. In that conversation, they had the idea to start a real estate and remodeling company and combine both of their knowledge. They each pulled $500 to start, had their first office in Mario’s house, and worked their way to the company we have today. Through many flips and remodeling projects, they moved their way into the commercial world. Today, Texas Top Notch works with the community to restore or build anything they can dream of. Whether it’s the residential homes or businesses, they can make that dream come true.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It wasn’t the smoothest road, but it wasn’t the roughest road either. At the time that Mario had quit his job and invested everything into the company, he had also started a motorcycle club that is devoted to raising money to help families in Houston that are affected by cancer, while also finding out that his wife was pregnant with his second child. Mario and Roosevelt were a great team who stuck together and built a family oriented, honest company. For a long time, they relied on “Word of Mouth” to get more business. They both made sure quality work was provided, so it was enough to build a lot of long time relationships with the community.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Mario Sanchez
He is the hands-on owner who takes pride in his work and reputation of the company. He specializes in everything contracting. Not only does he oversee all the moving parts of projects in the field, he also can do/teach all the employees with his years of experience. He is known for being dedicated and honest with his work, no matter how big or small the project is. When talking to a customer, he will say “We can do everything and anything you want. If you want to build on the moon, I’ll figure out a way to build us a bridge.” He is also known for finding a way to make the impossible possible. He is also known for being a prominent part of the community and volunteering when he can, whether it’s his time, knowledge, etc. When he is not at work, he is a loving husband and father to his wife, Lory, and his 2 children.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My family is what makes me happy. I love to provide for them and knowing they will never NEED anything. I feel satisfied knowing that I am raising and teaching them to always do the right thing in life. Seeing them happy is what makes me happy. I also feel happy when I see them learning to bless others like we’ve been blessed!
