Davo Tha CEO shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Davo , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
For me, integrity is everything.
You’ve got to have self-respect, strong morals, and honor to navigate through life. If you’re not standing on something solid and staying true to yourself—whether in good times or bad—it’s easy to get swept up in anything without even realizing it. Integrity will take you further than you can imagine.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Davo Tha CEO — a proud Houston native, born and raised in the great state of Texas. I’m an artist currently focused on restructuring and rebranding myself. I’ve got a few exciting projects in the works, and I can’t wait for you all to hear what I’ve been creating.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
One of my earliest memories of feeling truly powerful was when I figured out how to record and mix my own music. It wasn’t just about the technical aspects of recording or mixing, though—it was about realizing that when you really put your mind to something, you can achieve anything. It was a moment of understanding that my dedication and effort could turn an idea into something real.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been several moments in my life where I’ve felt like giving up. Honestly, it’s a struggle at times to keep going, but I don’t let those thoughts or feelings hold me back. In life, there are moments when you’ll feel like quitting, but that’s often when you’re closest to your breakthrough. We have to keep pushing, fight through the tough times, because in the end, it’s all worth it.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
It’s funny because I’ve been having this conversation a lot lately. Yes, the public version of me is the same as the private version of me. In today’s world, with the internet and social media giving everyone a platform to say and do whatever they want, it’s easy for people to question who they really are. I think many feel pressured to act a certain way, to fit into some mold or meet some criteria for acceptance. But the truth is, you don’t have to do that. You just need to be who God created you to be and stay true to yourself. Be you, and those who vibe with you will vibe with you.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
Oh man, there have been a few times when I got exactly what I thought I wanted, only to realize it wasn’t what I truly needed. It quickly taught me that a lot of the things we think we want in life aren’t really it. What’s more fulfilling is the process of working toward something—seeing it come to life. For me, it’s less about the end result and more about the creativity and the drive that fuels it. It’s like a test of willpower, if that makes sense. These are some really great questions you’re asking.
