Exploring Life & Business with Thomas Abraham of Dirty rancho motorcycles and Dirty rancho sport bikes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas Abraham.

Hi Thomas , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started in my hometown of San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, back in the 90s. As a kid, I used to repair my own motocross bike and those of my friends as a hobby. Eventually, more and more bikes started coming my way for repairs, and I realized there was a real opportunity there! After years of doing this as a hobby, I served in the Israeli army at age 18; I made many friends there and we used to go riding together, and I’d work on my bike and theirs. In 2018, I moved to the USA. I worked other jobs until June 2020—right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic—when I had a dream and a vision! I launched the business with just $1,000 and the encouragement of my wife. I bought, repaired, and sold bikes; in that first month alone, I handled over 20 customer jobs, and we haven’t stopped since! It’s a small business built on PASSION! You might change countries, friends, or jobs, but your passion never changes! Today, we work hard and successfully handle custom builds, paintwork, restorations, and all kinds of mechanical repairs. Even in tough economic times, we help customers fulfill their dream of bringing their bikes back to life—whether they’re vintage or brand new! A dream only fails to come true if you never act on it—and we make it a reality! Welcome to Dirty Rancho Sport Bikes Houston.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My goal and vision are for entrepreneurs to want to invest in this dream—created with love and passion—and expand it across the United States, taking the brand to the pinnacle of success in the U.S. market.

The economy often doesn’t help, but we have faith that, in time, this will pass, and we will be able to rise again and expand like the phoenix.

As you know, we’re big fans of Dirty rancho motorcycles and Dirty rancho sport bikes . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The success achieved on August 20, 2020—with over 34 motorcycles repaired in just the first month of business—brought the kind of joy and accomplishment that comes from doing things right. Of course, the competition gets annoyed; because I repair classic or older models, they miss out on selling those customers a new bike. I always explain to people—using a bike like the 2004 Yamaha V-Star 650 as an example—that while it might be worth $2,000 or slightly more here in the U.S., it’s worth between $15,000 and $18,000 in Argentina. I always tell them: “Don’t sell it; take loving care of it, and it will never let you down!”.
