I started my journey in the events industry about nine years ago as a local events planner, organizing and coordinating events within my community. Those early years helped me build a strong foundation in event management, client relations, and creating memorable experiences.
Over time, my passion for travel and event planning naturally came together, and over the last four years I expanded into destination events. Since then, I have planned numerous destination weddings, celebrations, and special events while also serving as a trusted travel advisor for many clients. I’ve had the opportunity to help individuals, couples, and groups navigate the travel planning process and create seamless experiences from start to finish.
Today, I am a full-service destination event planner and travel advisor. I’ve successfully planned events and curated travel experiences across the Caribbean, Mexico, Southeast Asia, Africa, and other destinations around the world. Looking back, it has been an exciting evolution from planning local events to coordinating experiences on a global scale, and I’m passionate about continuing to help clients create unforgettable moments wherever their celebrations take them.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Like anything worthwhile, nothing comes easy, and building a successful business in destination planning and travel has come with its share of challenges. There have been times when logistical issues arose, travel requirements changed unexpectedly, vendors experienced delays, or plans needed to be adjusted at the last minute.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that what looks perfect online doesn’t always translate perfectly in real life. Whether it’s a venue, resort, or travel experience, there can be unexpected surprises. That’s why I believe preparation, adaptability, and attention to detail are so important.
Throughout it all, perfection has always been my goal, and giving up has never been an option. I approach every challenge as an opportunity to find a solution and ensure my clients have the experience they envisioned. While there have certainly been obstacles along the way, staying focused, resourceful, and committed to excellence has helped me overcome them. In the end, everything always comes together, and seeing the joy and satisfaction of my clients makes every challenge worth it.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that may surprise people is that while they see the polished trips, beautiful destinations, and seamless experiences we create, they don’t always realize how much work happens behind the scenes. Every itinerary, excursion, hotel selection, and travel detail is carefully researched and planned to ensure our clients have the best possible experience.
Another thing people may not know about me is that I’m not just passionate about travel, I’m passionate about bringing people together. Some of the most rewarding moments for me aren’t necessarily the luxury resorts or exotic destinations. It’s watching complete strangers from different parts of the country meet on one of our group trips and leave as genuine friends. Many of our travelers stay connected long after the trip ends, and some even travel together again in the future.
I also personally experience many of the destinations, hotels, and resorts we recommend whenever possible. I believe that in order to confidently advise clients, I should have firsthand knowledge of the experiences I’m selling. This allows me to provide honest recommendations and create itineraries that are based on real experiences rather than just what looks good online.
