Hidden Gems: Meet Adriana Gomez of Warens Financial Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriana Gomez.

Hi Adriana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My background is in corporate operations, HR, and training! So structure, growth, and people development have always been at the heart of what I do. But I’ve always had a passion for building something meaningful from the ground up.
That opportunity came when I became the first hire for Franklin Warens, who had recently stepped into the mortgage industry as a newer loan officer. I was his very first hire, and together we started laying the foundation for what would eventually become Warens Financial Group. When we officially launched as a mortgage brokerage, I stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer.
Today, I oversee both the sales and processing teams, help drive operational strategy and lead training across departments. We’re focused on delivering a smooth and efficient mortgage experience for our clients, while building a company culture rooted in growth, ownership, and service. It’s been an incredible journey so far and we’re just getting started.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every obstacle has shaped me into the leader I am today.
In the beginning, we were building everything from scratch, no blueprint, just vision and grit. There were a lot of long days, late nights, and moments of self-doubt. Learning how to lead people while also building processes, holding standards, and protecting the culture we were trying to create wasn’t easy. I’ve had to grow through tough conversations, burnout, and the pressure of being the go-to person when things went sideways.
But one of the most pivotal parts of my journey has been having Franklin Warens as a mentor. From the start, he saw a leader in me, before I fully saw it in myself. He pushed me in the right ways, gave me space to rise, and taught me that leadership isn’t just about handling tasks, it’s about building people. He helped me lean into my strengths while also challenging me to grow through my weaknesses.
So no, it hasn’t been smooth., but it’s been worth it. Every struggle built resilience. Every challenge built clarity. And every season of discomfort taught me how to lead with both strength and heart.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Warens Financial Group?
Warens Financial Group is more than just a mortgage brokerage. We’re a people-first company committed to changing the way clients and loan officers experience home financing. We specialize in providing personalized, strategic mortgage solutions that truly fit our clients’ lives, not just their loan applications. What sets us apart is our culture. We’re known for our attention to detail, speed, and heart, but also for the way we show up for our clients and each other. We lead with integrity, hustle with purpose, and never lose sight of the human behind the transaction.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built. We offer more than just loan approvals, we offer clarity, guidance, and real partnership. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer or a seasoned investor, we’re here to walk with you every step of the way.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My biggest advice for anyone just starting out is: don’t give up. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when the challenges start piling up or things aren’t moving as fast as you’d like, but growth often comes in those hard, quiet seasons. Stay consistent. Keep showing up. There’s always something you can do to keep moving forward, even if it’s one small step at a time. The sky really is the limit when you put in the work and stay committed to your vision.
If there’s one thing I wish I had known when I first started, it’s how fulfilling this journey would be. The impact I’ve been able to make, the lives I’ve helped shift, and the team I’ve helped grow. That’s the part no one prepares you for. And it’s the part that makes it all worth it.
